Last week, we took a look at one of the Erie area's top programs in the McDowell Trojans. Today, we stay in the Erie area and take a look at another elite program from the northwestern part of Pennsylvania, the Cathedral Prep Ramblers. Cathedral Prep is 6-3 this season including 2-1 in conference play. After getting off to a 5-0 start, the Ramblers dropped three straight to St. Francis (NY), McDowell, and Benedictine (OH). They bounced back last week with a 39-32 win over General McLane.

The 2026 watchlist quarterback has shown flashes this season especially on tape. You can see his arm strength clearly on tape, he has the ability to rocket balls down the field and into a tight windows. That being said, he does have a 44.6% completion percentage this season, a number that will absolutely have to improve in his senior season, he also has seven interceptions this season, a number we'd like to see cut a bit down. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Friedman, however, is a strong athlete, he's also a very good baseball player for Cathedral Prep and an even better student in the classroom with a 4.7 weighted GPA.

The top-500 prospect is the leading tackler for Cathedral Prep this season with 57 total tackles including two tackles for loss.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Hollingsworth may be slightly undersized as a linebacker for the next level but he's a physical and well built prospect who shows quality athleticism on tape. He does a great job of playing downhill and getting to the line of scrimmage and or into the backfield against the run. He's a great run stopper in that regard. He does have the athleticism to drop back in coverage as well.

What coaches will love most about Hollingsworth is that he shows a high football IQ as well a high motor, a great combination especially for a player such as Hollingsworth who by being slightly undersized in the eyes of some coaches will need other ways to impress on film and on the field.

King-Vincent is an emerging defensive back prospect for Cathedral Prep. Unfortunately there's not a ton of tape out there on King-Vincent but did flash his athleticism earlier this season when he returned an onside kick 53-yards for the touchdown by blazing down the sidelines.

Carson is having a great season for Cathedral Prep and is the Ramblers top offensive weapon this season with 97 carries for 569 yards and eight touchdowns. He's averaging a quality of 6.1 yards per carry and 66.2 yards per game.

Carson doesn't have a ton of footage available but does have enough to get a quality feeling for his game. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Carson is well-bult for his size though will need to continue to build his lower body. That being said, Carson has good vision and shows the explosiveness needed to burst through tight openings in the line of scrimmage in order to get to the second level. Despite being a smaller back, Carson is also a hardnosed runner and isn't afraid of contact, showing the ability to break through would be tacklers.

Only a sophomore there is still a ton of growth still for Carson to go as a tailback which is an exciting proposition. He's already a good running back and one of the better running backs on the western side of the state.

While we have Allen ranked as a wide receiver, the 2025 prospect's future might just be on the defensive side of the football as a safety. The 6-foot-0, 190-pound Allen has been strong for the Ramblers this season in the secondary, posting 33 tackles including three tackles for loss. He also has two interceptions and one pass deflection this season.

Allen is a quality overall athlete and has good size and length for the cornerback position. He reports a 40-yard dash time of 4.5 and that speed is evident on tape.

As a safety, Allen does a great job of patrolling the middle of the field and takes strong routes to the football on a consistent basis. A high motor player, Allen is a heart seeking missile on the field at all times and is always looking to play hard and legal hits on defenders.

Allen also flashes potential as a wide receiver where he uses his speed well. On 16 receptions this season. Allen is averaging 16.7 yards per reception, totaling 250 yards and three touchdowns.

Ultimately, no matter where you put Allen, he's a playmaker.
