Paris Wilbanks is amongst the state leaders in passing for 2027's and has also been productive as a runner. He is well-built at 6'0 185, offering a durable force in the pocket and the ability to shed off tackling attempts when he breaks into the open field. Wilbanks has solid arm strength and decent mechanics, but he is a cerebral player with good vision for the field. He pinpoints crossing receivers well both inside and out of the pocket and can change up pace and touch on the ball to make impressive layer throws. Wilbanks should continue improving over the next few years and should generate some buzz later on in the recruiting process.

James Mobley is one of the most efficient passers in the state, completing 76% of his passes while tossing 23 TDs against just 2 INTs. Mobley is an interesting eval. He is listed at 5'8 165 and is an explosive athlete, allowing him to garner some buzz as a skill player. He has the speed to extend plays and pick up yards available on option plays, but he does his damage within the pocket. His footwork and hips are smooth and he plays under control when facing pressure. He has a quick release and can muscle the ball into tight windows over the middle of the field. Mobley doesn't check ideal measurables boxes, but he has the efficiency and mechanics to compensate for his size, especially if he continues to be efficient throughout the rest of his HS career.

"[player_tooltip player_id='1544914' first='Graham' last='Burmeister'] was extremely efficient and smooth in a career-best outing against Creekview, leading Woodstock to an upset victory. Burmeister completed 14 of his 19 passes for over 300 yards and 3 TDs. There is a lot to like on tape. He is calm in the pocket and has enough athleticism to scamper away from chaos. Doesn't have the strongest arm, but he has a quick release and throws a tight spiral. He can manipulate touch, allowing him to layer throws into the intermediate areas of the field and over safeties, which is what he was able to do against Creekview. Burmeister is a gamer and looks to be a clean operator from the neck up. He is a breakout QB in the 2027 class and is leading Woodstock to their best season in years."

[player_tooltip player_id='662078' first='Jace' last='German'] is a strong candidate for breakout QB of the year. He has been efficient and prolific with both his arm and his legs and is doing so against solid competition. German is listed at 6'0 175 with plenty of room to add good weight. His entire game is based on being an elite athlete. With the ball in his hands, he has the combination of speed and bounce to make defenders miss and explode through openings. He is extremely slippery within the pocket and is hard to tackle, which demands good rush lane integrity from defenses. He has a natural release, ripping through the ball with good velocity. Both inside and out of the pocket, he can cut the ball into tight windows. He is a gunslinger but has sometimes protected the football with his 20/2 TD-INT ratio. German is an elite athlete playing QB and will likely garner FBS recruiting attention down the line as a QB and a skill player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1214547' first='Czar' last='Daniels'] is another athletic QB prospect with his best football ahead of him. Daniels has been extremely efficient on the season and is amongst the most productive sophomore passers in the state this fall. He is long and lanky, coming in around 6'0 170. There is plenty of room to add more weight, which will give him more horsepower as a runner and add more drive to his throws. He has solid mechanics, playing with his eyes, hips, and feet synched up. He can quickly jump from one receiver to another and gets the ball out in a hurry. He cuts through the ball with his long delivery and has enough zip to get the ball outside the numbers, both on the boundary and field side. I will look for Daniels to consistently show more touch and finesse as a junior. As of now, he is an intriguing QB prospect with a solid athletic profile and plenty of upside left in the tank.

[player_tooltip player_id='662013' first='Caden' last='Worley'] is a tall and super lanky QB prospect who is dangerous with his arm and his legs. Worley is still in the infancy stages of his football growth and is a little clunkier as a mover, which is typical with prospects still growing into their frame. He has solid arm strength and good arm talent, showing the ability to make subtle tweaks to his arm angle when throwing. He works off-platform very well, making accurate throws out on the move and when hanging on his back foot. Worley's pocket presence is brilliant. He escapes through the pocket and always has his eyes glued downfield to find open receivers. He is a gifted runner with some giddy-up in the open field. He will surprise you laterally as well, throwing some jukes and spins at defenders to get them off-balanced. There is a lot of growth ahead for Worley, and I wouldn't be shocked to see D1 coaches get in the mix as he continues reaching closer and closer to his high ceiling.

AJ Dillard is a big-time playmaker who will generate recruiting buzz as a QB and as an ATH. He's got a stout, RB-like frame at 5'11 190. He has made plenty of plays as a passer, but he is one of the best rushers from the QB spot in the state, rushing for 836 yards and 13 TDs on the season. He is an explosive north-south runner who brings some thump and physicality between the tackles. He has enough bounce and change of direction in the open field to run around defenders and enter new running lanes. Works almost strictly on roll-outs as a passer, where he shows enough arm strength to make throws outside the numbers and down the field, even without his feet fully set. Dillard is dealing as a QB early in his career, but his recruiting buzz will likely come as an athlete.

Here is my evaluation on [player_tooltip player_id='354909' first='Makyree' last='Cross'] from week 3 of the 2024 season:

"Collins Hill is one of the hottest teams in the state through the first 3 weeks, and some of that can be credited to the play of their new QB, [player_tooltip player_id='354909' first='Makyree' last='Cross'] . I first saw Cross this offseason and was intrigued by his physical tools. He is listed at around 6'2 165 with more physical maturity left in the tank. He is a bit raw and might be clunky at times as a mover, but his athleticism flashes when he is in the open field. He has quick, natural arm action, allowing him to get the ball out in a hurry and fit it into closing windows. Against Cedar Grove, he added some touch when it was needed, and showed that he could speed the ball up when he stepped into his throws. Cross is still a youngster, but his athleticism and lightning-quick release set the stage for what should end up being a D1 QB prospect."
