A couple of days ago, I put out a request for the best Week 2 tape. In that thread came more than a few great Quarterback performances. I'm familiar with all of these prospects, and all have a chance to move up the rankings after the great Week 2 performance. Here are my quick thoughts on all five of those QB prospects!

The quick game was HOT for [player_tooltip player_id='566978' first='Brady' last='Thomas'] and Brother Rice. His week 2 tape is quite simple, but it encapsulates one of Brady's biggest strengths. Brady can really sling it, and he has the processing ability + confidence to stand in the pocket and deliver a very quick strike. Brady proved that he can be a lethal quarterback who can quickly hit his first or second read.

I've always liked Brady's arm talent and accuracy. So far, he's getting good opportunities on an improving Brother Rice team. Keep this up, and he has a great chance to be a GLIAC prospect next spring.

https://twitter.com/BradyThomas1_/status/1832917379174592765

Dosh orchestrated an incredibly productive Davison offense against a very good Grandville team. I mean, my gosh, Jaxson has some incredible highlights.

The biggest things that stand out to me are still his athleticism and arm talent. Jaxson has proved that he can run the ball effectively when needed. He still needs to get used to running the football against great defenses, but I know that Jaxson has the athleticism to be an effective dual-threat.

The arm is great. The ball absolutely launches out of Jaxson's arm and the throw power is some of the best I've seen from a high school QB. I still think Jaxson needs to improve his accuracy, and if he does that, I firmly believe he's a B1G / SEC prospect.

https://twitter.com/jaxsondosh2026/status/1832778708840575162

Ryland had a very productive day against his crosstown rival.

Although he runs a Veer offense, Ryland was 8/10 passing for 103 yards. The play at 0:25 in particular shows off Ryland stepping up in the pocket and delivering a strike to the sidelines- a throw I rarely see option QBs make. Ryland seems to be growing as a passer, which is promising.

Running the football, Ryland was as good as expected. Always falls forward, can break tackles, and heck, he scored 3 touchdowns. I'm excited to see what Ryland is able to do against interleague competition moving forward!

https://twitter.com/RylandWatters/status/1832561069614887242

Ben has shown some improvement since last season. For one, he had a great week on the ground. His first highlight shows an excellent pull on the option, and he shows some speed, taking it to the house. I don't think Ben is an elite athlete, but you can 100% trust him to run the ball on some designed carries. As for passing, Ben showed off his arm on a deep ball and a few throws to the intermediate part of the field. I'm optimistic for Ben, and I think he'll be a very good NAIA prospect this Spring.

https://twitter.com/ben_farkas2/status/1832586794107330859

Carson is truly matching all of my expectations. I wasn't sure how he'd perform this season, as a lot of QBs are very different players during the offseason vs the Fall.

His off-schedule playmaking shined against South Christian. On several occasions, Carson adjusted himself, evaded pressure, and delivered a strike downfield. He also had a few very accurate deep balls in addition to some quick game. Carson ended the game having gone 21/26 for 295 yards and 2TDs. A truly excellent game.

So far, I'm impressed with Carson's arm. He throws with very impressive power and is much more accurate than the vast majority of high school quarterbacks. Pretty much everything I saw during the offseason is showing up in the regular season, which is a massive plus.
