Carson is truly matching all of my expectations. I wasn’t sure how he’d perform this season, as a lot of QBs are very different players during the offseason vs the Fall.
His off-schedule playmaking shined against South Christian. On several occasions, Carson adjusted himself, evaded pressure, and delivered a strike downfield. He also had a few very accurate deep balls in addition to some quick game. Carson ended the game having gone 21/26 for 295 yards and 2TDs. A truly excellent game.
So far, I’m impressed with Carson’s arm. He throws with very impressive power and is much more accurate than the vast majority of high school quarterbacks. Pretty much everything I saw during the offseason is showing up in the regular season, which is a massive plus.

Carson and his East Grand Rapids team will be looking for a bounce back in week 3 after dropping the week 2 matchup against South Christian. Carson has been very good so far in this young season. Even in the week 2 loss, he still went 21/26 for 295 yards and 2 TDs, and added 105 on the ground. I am excited to see how he leads his team in response against Grand Rapids Christian.

Carson has been putting in work all summer long. He has done everything necessary to prepare for his final season, and the rubber meets the road in week 1 against local foe Lowell. I think this is a great opportunity for him to solidify his place in the state of Michigan QB pecking order. Look for Carson to really surprise some people this season, starting in week 1.

Carson has been straight up working his tail off all off season long. He has done a ton to better himself, and I think he will reap those benefits this fall, leading this East Grand Rapids team to more success. He’s a confident QB who can move, can be accurate and throw pretty much anything on the route tree with precision. Carson will be a must watch this season.

I’ve talked about Carson a good amount recently, and I’m optimistic about what he can do next season. At the SVSU camp, Carson was the most-talented QB in attendance. He sports a quick release, good downfield accuracy, consistent fundamentals, and mostly good quick game accuracy + throw power. I’m still not 100% sold on Carson, but with a great season, he could move up even more.

Carson is a bit of a wildcard in the Class of 2025. I’ve seen a lot of hype about Carson on Twitter, but I hadn’t watched him in person until last Sunday’s SVSU Prospect Camp. He looked like the most polished and talented QB at the camp. Everything from his footwork, throwing motion, and accuracy were on-par with a lot of Division 2 prospects that I’ve watched. I wish I had more to say, but I’m really just waiting for the season at this point. If he has a good season, Carson will earn significant GLIAC attention. If he has an incredible season, that’s where we can start talking about MAC opportunities, though I currently view Carson as a GLIAC guy.

Currently ranked #15 in the class, Carson is an interesting prospect who will have a pivotal senior season. Being ranked #15, I am confident he’ll eventually be a college prospect. I wrote about him at the beginning of the month, and I still have the same evaluation. He’s a raw prospect with a lot of promising traits and an offensive system that should help him prepare for the college level. I like that he stands in the pocket, tries to read the field, and tries to get the ball out quickly. He’s a good athlete, and does his best with what’s given to him. Work on his accuracy, throw power, and IQ will greatly aid him in the coming year.rnI know I just critiqued a lot of his game, but Carson is a very good high school quarterback. He has a great foundation and an insanely good opportunity to build off of that foundation.
