Asa has really matured and developed nicely over the last year. As a receiver, his skillset is immense. He has a nice release, doesn’t get jammed or crossed up, and runs clean routes. When the ball is thrown his way, he has late hands, making him extremely hard to defend if you’re not in perfect position. When the ball is off target a bit, he displays the big catch radius and great body control to adjust and make the play anyway. Defensively, those same physical traits translate perfectly, allowing him to stay right in stride with the receiver and contest everything his way.

Cox and his EGR team will have their work cut out for them against a tough Mt. Pleasant squad, and Asa could provide that much needed spark. Both offensively and defensively, Asa finds a way to get to the ball. Defensively, he does a great job of sticking with receivers and playing the ball. Offensively, he has multiple highlights of him high pointing the football and coming down with some high difficulty catches. He should be a big part of the gameplan heading into this weeks tilt with Mt. Pleasant.
