Thursday is the official kickoff to high school football season in the state of Michigan. As we get rolling I will be covering the Lowell vs East Grand Rapids game at Lowell high school. This game will be littered with Prep RedZone ranked prospects. Let's take a look at 5 Prospects in the game that I will be watching closely and what I am anxious to see from each player as we hit game time.

Any time you have a game featuring a big ten lineman there is an immediate excitement for kickoff. Grant is a kid I will be watching with great intrigue. Im excited to see Grant show the mobility and raw power that it will take to be effective at the next level. Lowell will present a lot of challenges for the pioneer offensive line and I will be watching to see how Grant and his teammates adjust and get after the Lowell front 7. Grant committed to Michigan State in the spring and hen and his pioneer teammates have a lot to prove as they set there sites on a big run this fall.

Mitchell is a throwback running back of old for the Red Arrows. I am excited to see Mitchell run with the physical smash mouth attack that Lowell has had great success with in years past. Mitchell shows power and a very patient running style on film and I'm excited to see him show off his skills against a solid East Grand Rapids defense. Another part of Mitchells game I am anxious to see is Mitchells speed. Can he get to the edge on a speedy defense. I will be watching intently to see how effective he can be on Thursday night.

Asa is a kid that had a very big summer. Asa camped at multiple camps this summer and stood out and a top performer on multiple occasions. I am excited to see how this summer translates to the field. Asa has very good speed and runs very good routes. Asa does a good job snapping off his routes and the top of his route and gaining good separation from the DB. Asa is very intriguing and I am looking forward to seeing him in person on Thursday. Can Asa take the top off from Lowells defense? we will soon find out.

Dawson is another prospect I have seen at multiple camps this summer. Dawson took home Linebacker MVP at the PRZMI camp at Lawrence tech this spring which spring boarded his recruitment heading into summer. I will be watching closely to see how Dawson handles the big physical line that East Grand Rapids will roll out on Thursday. Dawson will need to be at his best to help control the pioneers offense and help neutralize a multi layered attack that East will throw at Lowell.

Nash is a player that is a do it all player for Lowell. Nash is a solid 2 way lineman that gives maximum effort on every play. I am impressed with how technically sound Nash is on the offensive line. Nash does a good job staying on his block and moving players off the ball, giving his back a solid clean hole to run through. Im intrigued to see if Nash can move people Thursday night and give his offense a chance to be successful. Nash will be a big part of the outcome Thursday night and am excited to see him battle in the trenches.
