Southwest Ohio Quaterbacks Who Are Balling Out in 2024

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1084960' first='Matthew' last='Ponatoski'] (Archbishop Moeller) 6'2 190- Ponatoski has been the MVP of the 2-0 Crusaders offense through 2 weeks. He's completed 50 of 68 passes for a 73% completion percentage. He's thrown for 777 yards and 8 TD's. Ponatoski can make all of the throws and does a great job of getting the ball out quickly. The talented QB picked up offers from Cincinnati and Purdue this offseason.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1424012' first='Devan' last='Nigam'] (Turpin) 6'5 225- Nigam has completed 65 percent of his passes for 704 yards and 7 touchdowns through two weeks he also has a rushing touchdown on the season. At 6'5 and 225 pounds he already has a college ready frame. he's an accurate thrower of the ball and has a great grasp of his offense. He has a good field vision and does a great job of finding the open man.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='973501' first='Jeremiah' last='Landers'] (Middletown) 6'3 205- The Dual Threat Quarterback for the Middies has put up some impressive numbers through 2 games. Through the air Jeremiah has completed 63% of his passes for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns. He's also a dynamic runner who's rushed for 203 yards on 20 carries and 2 td's. Landers is comfortable throwing from the pocket or on the run. He's great at extending pass plays but knows when it's time to tuck it and run.   2025 Ethan New (Sidney) 6'2 180- New has the Yellow Jackets offense humming. He's completed 59% of his pass for 501 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ethan also has used his legs to the tune of 165 yards and 3 td's rushing the ball. The Yellow Jackets sit at 1-1 on the season. New does a great job stretching the field vertically with a strong arm and accurate deep ball. He also shows a nice feel for the intermediate throws as well.   2027 [player_tooltip player_id='586096' first='Max' last='Miller'] (Springboro) 6'2 180- The talented young quarterback for the Panthers is off to a strong start. The sophomore has completed 68% of his passes on 54 attempts. He's thrown for 467 yards and 5 touchdowns while throwing zero interceptions. Max has shown the ability to make an impressive array of throws. He can throw the deep post and the fade as well as challenge the middle of the field on slants. He has the athleticism to escape the rush and can throw accurately on the run. Miller is a really impressive young QB prospect. The Panthers sit at 2-0 on the season.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='747969' first='Jahmeir' last='Spain'] (Mount Healthy) 6'4 190- the D1 quarterback prospect is off to a fantastic senior year. He's completed 33 of his 44 passes for a 77% completion percentage. He's put up 674 yards and 9 touchdowns. Jahmeir plays the game with a great command of his offense. He sees the field well and is decisive in his throws. He has a big arm but has the ability to step on the gas, but he can also dial it back as well. My favorite throw of his is the back shoulder fade. He throws it with great touch and anticipation. His Owls sit at 1-1 on the season.   2026 Braeden Wallace (Madeira) 5'9 175- The Junior QB has completed 70% for 628 yards and 6 touchdowns for the 2-0 Mustangs. From the pocket he gets the ball out quickly and accurately. He's also used on rollouts where he's a fluid runner who can put the ball on the money. I'm excited to see how Braeden can continue to grow as a quarterback in this, his junior season.   *Stats are through week 2
