Iowa City's [player_tooltip player_id='983337' first='Parker' last='Sutherland'], who lands as TE3 and 35 overall, is entering the season as the top-ranked uncommitted TE who holds offers from Pitt State, Quincy, Upper Iowa, Wayne State, Sioux Falls, and D1 FCS champion South Dakota State. Parker is a strong, tall prospect at 6'6" and 230 pounds, with room to continue filling out his frame. Parker is well-rounded as a tight end, proving to be an asset as a blocker and reliable as a pass catcher. He flashes good hand placement/inside leverage when engaged with defenders and has the power in his base to drive defenders out of the play completely. Parker showed good strength in his hands and can hang on to catches through contact. One thing that gets overlooked about Parker's game is his ability to get open, whether facing man or zone coverage. He does a good job using his route running to create separation from defenders, and he flashes a solid football IQ to identify and exploit soft zones in coverage. Big-time prospect you don't want to miss out on!

A small-town prospect with some big-time game! Janesville's [player_tooltip player_id='1213599' first='Gabe' last='Meaney'] has risen as one of the top 8-man prospects in the 2025 cycle. Gabe is another TE prospect with a tall, strong frame that allows him to bully defenders at the line of scrimmage with his blocking and make tough contested catches. Aggressive blocker who won't hesitate to drive a defender into the dirt. I like Meaney's burst off the line and his underrated acceleration, which allowed him to fly past defenders to make long gains over the middle of the field. There is a lot of upside with Meaney on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive end/EDGE defender. Western Illinois, Sioux Falls, Drake, and Upper Iowa have all thrown their hats in with an offer for Gabe, with several other programs keeping a close eye on the Janesville prospect.

Urbandale's 2025 class is looking solid, with several top-tier prospects, including tight-end [player_tooltip player_id='1105161' first='Hayden' last='Moser']. Moser is the type of pass catcher I classify as "QB-friendly," as he does an excellent job finding and slipping into open passing windows while consistently working his way back to the ball to secure the catch. His bigger frame gives him a physical advantage over defenders while possessing solid speed and agility. He has nice burst after the catch and proved tough to tackle on first contact. A player you can rely on to move the chains on crucial downs. Hayden is also a solid blocker who can be seen as an asset in the running game. He holds offers from Minnesota State-Mankato, Sioux Falls, Concordia-St. Paul, and Quincy University.

Although we just rolled out this set of rankings, I'm already considering if Iowa Valley [player_tooltip player_id='1358155' first='Caleb' last='Haack'] is low (#63 overall) after another look at his junior tape and the hot start he has gotten off to this season. Haack ended his junior year with 31 receptions for 641 yards with six touchdowns and has already caught ten passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns in his first three games. The towering 6'9", 210-pound tight end is an athletic beast who reports a 4.47 40-yard time and nearly a 39.7" vertical jump, making him an absolute matchup nightmare across the field. Haack's basketball background shines through on the gridiron, showing how well he can adjust to the ball in the air and his ability to box out defenders and "outphysical" them at the catch point. Haack is also starting to flash his defensive upside this season, which will be very interesting to follow. Still no reported offers for Caleb, but I expect that to change quickly once more schools catch wind of the Iowa Valley prospect!

Winterset's [player_tooltip player_id='1418148' first='Jaydn' last='Cooper'] is a very exciting athlete whose recruitment should take off this season once more teams look his way. Jaydn is a sturdy, athletic 6'3", 240-pound tight end who runs a solid 4.7 40-yard time. One thing that makes Jaydn such an interesting player is his versatility on the offensive side of the ball. On top of pulling in 18 receptions for 219 yards and four touchdowns, Jaydn also lined up in the backfield, leading to some rushing attempts or even a pass on occasion. He can also be moved across the formation to take advantage of mismatches against the defense and has the speed/agility to create separation from defenders. Great burst after the catch— always a threat to tack on some extra YAC. Throw in his willingness to block, and you have a pretty well-rounded player who could improve a TE room. Cooper holds offers from Grand View, Dakota State, Midland, Concordia-St. Paul, and is also drawing attention from D1 programs like North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and several others.

Carlisle's [player_tooltip player_id='1406678' first='Ben' last='Glawe'] is a fascinating prospect who is listed as a TE/DL with the potential to play either position at the next level. As a defensive end, I like how well Ben sets the edge against the run, using his strong base to anchor down while keeping blockers away from him with his lengthy reach. Ultimately, Ben was listed as a tight end because of his blocking ability and upside as a pass catcher. For being 6'6", Glawe displayed good consistency with his pad level and ability to maintain leverage when engaged in blocks. He's very explosive at the point of attack and can generate a solid push at the LOS. Glawe didn't receive a ton of receiving opportunities, but his tall, strong athletic frame makes him a potential threat in the redzone and an instant mismatch against linebackers and smaller DBs. Surprised Ben still hasn't received his first offer and is flying under the radar; a breakout senior year should change that!
