DAKOTAS-- Throughout this week, we will we spending a lot of time in the film room evaluating Midseason tape from across the Dakotas. Especially if you are a 2025 athlete, you need to make sure your tape is up and ready for college coaches to evaluate you as your first 3-4 weeks of the season are crucial to your recruitment. What I have loved seeing more this season, is prospects being more than ever ready with their tape each week in the Dakotas and I hope that solid momentum continues. With Part I, we take 6 and 6 from South Dakota and North Dakota of prospects that had an outstanding 3 or 4 weeks to start the season and hopefully some of these names blow up over the coming weeks with their recruitment. Part I we go!

SOUTH DAKOTA

Our RB2 in South Dakota's 2025 class has done nothing but flashed from a durability perspective in the first four weeks of the season and even when he is done with contacdt, you likely will still see him upright as Rylee is one of the most durable backs in the state. He would rather run thru contact than avoid it, which is what I love about Rylee thus far on tape. I also feel Rylee has gotten more agile from the 2023 season as he has shown off some smoother change of direction that runs with excellent fluidity. Not only did he log 400 yards and six touchdowns last week against a tough Hill City team, but his rushing attack has got the Rancher to 3-1 this season and trending upwards in Class 9A along with in late August finally getting his first Division II offer.

Talk about a young man that fights for every extra yard he can get on any given play, that's the workhorse that what Parkston's [player_tooltip player_id='800481' first='Kolter' last='Kramer'] brings to the table, getting the constant hard-earned yards. The amount of routine balance that Kolter plays with overall is fun to watch on tape no matter where he lines up. I love the depth and effectiveness Kolter can get from just one fluid cut as he has sudden open field awareness that can accelerate well downhill. I also love how Kolter finishes his runs as he doesn't show one ounce of decelaration regardless if he escapes for a big run or a redzone touchdown, the young man is just an excellent team player that would be great in a next-level locker room for owning his craft and keeping his teammates accountable. Many folks across South Dakota know the name, but he is still a sleeper on the 2025 recruiting trail. Twitter

Riley has been one of the most consistent all-around performers in 11AA on both sides of the ball. Weeks 1-3 has seen Riley add a touchdown per game and similar productivity on the defensive side of the ball. We saw this summer, but the excellent seperation Riley has been able to acquire with the first three weeks shows off a more rangy route tree than what we saw in 2023, and there certainly should be more Division II programs that should get involved for him next-year. He also has grown defensively with his quick vision and instincts as well.

Jensen is a 2026 linebacker that I am fired up to get on my 2026 recruiting board here very soon, as his Week 1-3 tape has been one that is worth a watch. The poise Jensen plays with coming out of his stance at middle linebacker shows off the rangy footwork this young man has to get to either side of the field movements with good explosiveness in his lower body. I love the way this young man tracks the ball once he reaches the backfield and is also a solid asset to the Chargers rushing attack especially in the red zone where he does the most of his damage. Twitter

Tayden has shown off not only great fire with his first step, but how quick he gets his leverage has also been impressive over the last three weeks for the Patriots. He also has showed off consistent pad-level especially with his play in pass-protection. His ability to finish his blocks also has struck a chord in my eyes as one I am quite surprised doesn't have his first offer yet, which I would assume will come sooner rather than later.

Harrisburg has always been loaded with playmakers for as long as I can remember, but man watching [player_tooltip player_id='1185276' first='Braeden' last='Feeldy'] excel on all three levels of the field in the first three weeks has been a sight to see on tape. Where I have been most intrigued is his presence he has at safety, showing excellent on-ball physicality with his instincts and vertical. Like I saw all summer long, Braeden is a work-horse as a route runner that has a complete route-tree no matter where he lines up. His balance he shows off around the edges of the field has vastly improved since the 2023 season and as I had been chomping at the bit to make sure college coaches knew this young man's name as a wide receiver that is going to make some college program at the D1 or D2 level very stoked to get on campus next year. Twitter

NORTH DAKOTA

Another standout on both sides of the ball from the first few weeks is Thompson 2025 RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='356871' first='Joshua' last='Juve'] from what his tape shows off. Defensively, Joshua has impressed me with his early pursuit angles that has sudden instincts into the heart of the ball carrier. I have always seen him as a running back at the next-level, but the constant vision he shows on tape show off to the college subscribers with us that there should be some position flexibility at the next-level. Joshua has also become more elusive with his change of direction from first to second level as one that has pounded for nearly 400 rushing yards and 30 tackles thru the first three weeks.

I love watching Drew's pre snap reads he has shown from the first three weeks as the crash momentum he gets downhill into the backfield has been a force to be reckoned with. His get off speed with his hands has also been fun to watch on tape as a linebacker prospect that has made a significant rise since I last watched his tape. Drew has excellent vision and is one I would love to see more in the NSIC to get involved as he to me is a sleeper in this 2025 class.

Jayvon is a slot-receiver that certainly flashed for the Bruins in the first three weeks. I like the way Jayvon improvises on his routes, as his ability to sneak to the edge over the top of the safeties has gotten him some excellent seperation on tape. He has some great upside with his change of direction to constantly get loose to get yards after contact which applies too to Jayvon in the kick return game for Fargo South. A 2026 prospect that will certainly be seen on our upcoming 2026 rankings update coming out shortly.

Jensen is probably one of the top slot receivers in North Dakota as of right now, as he has been a monster on his midseason highlights as one I certainly felt at the end of the summer would become a good one. I love the way Jensen operates within tight windows and one that I love the aggressiveness he shows off with his versatile route tree he shows off. This young man I believe does not get enough credit for his catch radius he shows off for 6'0 180 pounds and has shown it off on a few occassions on tape. Jensen also has the sudden speed that he can burn you with, which I am sure is why some NSIC schools have recently offered him as a senior on the rise out of Mandan.

Bradyn is a defensive back that I feel in his senior season, is playing with a stronger gear of physicality that I want to see out of my cornerbacks at the next-level. Not only has Bradyn inserted more physicality, but I feel he has taken a step forward with the growth of his football IQ and is one that has some secondary flexibility to possibly free safety at the next level, as he has shown to be quicker getting off his blocks. That physicality translates too offensively, as I love how well this young man plays without the ball in his hands. Bradyn is yet another sleeper in this 2025 class still awaiting that first offer college coaches. Twitter

Isaiah is a 2025 defensive back prospect that shows off some sound midseason tape from my first look. This young not only possesses the long arms you want from your cornerback, but he has a great feel for utilizing it in pass coverage as a prospect that utilizes the football IQ he has using his length constantly with the right timing. He also shows off excellent footwork on every rep I have watched and has the demeanor to play from sideline to sideline as well as possess great ball-tracking skills. Isaiah is way too under the radar for my liking in the NSIC. Twitter
