There has been a plethora of players that have been balling out since Week 0. Today, I wanted to put a showcase on some of the top performers through Week 3. Everyone on this list has been a consistent top performer, and deserves to be recognized. Let's dive into the analysis!

Jaegar has been on fire to start the season. The 6'1 190 pound running back/ OLB already has 2 200+ games and we aren't even half way through the season. Through 3 games, he has 60 carries for 583 yards and 9 touchdowns. Jaegar has good athletic ability due to very good change of direction and balance, with good speed and acceleration. Jaegar is a downhill runner, who uses his very good vision to decipher which hole to run through. He's a power runner, using good trucking to run through defenders instead of around. If he needs to go around, he'll use his very good change of direction to create dynamic cuts making the defender miss. To gain extra yards, Jaegar uses his good stiff arm mixed with powerful legs to keep churning while defenders get after him. The senior has made an impact on the defensive side as well. As an OLB, he has 23 total tackles (12 solo, 11 assisted) 1 TFL, and 1 sack. He brings that same tenacity and energy from the offense onto the defensive side. Phenomenal player who needs more eyes on him as the season progresses.

Duhachek is picking up where he left off from last season. The 6'4 210-pound junior QB has gone 59/85 for 1079 yards, 11 touchdowns, 2 interceptions with a completion rate of 69.4%. To compare, last season he had 14 TDs, 8 INT, with a 58% completion rate. I'm very impressed with his growth. Duhachek has very good arm strength, and launches the ball all over the field. He has quick zippy release, paired with very good accuracy at all 3 levels. Very good ball placement too. He'll lead the WR to the ball, not letting the wideout lose speed. Logan has good footwork in the pocket, and uses his mobility to avoid pressure or roll out gaining extra yardage. He's very good at throwing on the run. He's able to roll out left and throw a bomb downfield while maintaining accuracy. When Duhachek is under pressure, he dominates. He stays poised with multiple defenders in his face, and throws an accurate pass. He keeps his eyes downfield and goes through his progressions finding the open man. If no one's open, he'll run for a first down or dump it off to his RB. I can't wait to see Logan continue dissecting defenses throughout this season. Arvada West has a nice balanced team, and I believe they'll go far with Duhachek leading the way.

Thomson has been having himself a nice season. Through 2 games, the middle linebacker for Yuma has 14 total tackles (8 solo, 6 assisted), 2 TFL, 3 INT, 1 PD, 1 FR, 1 TD. Thomson has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. In the game against Roaring Folk, he had 3 interceptions. Thomson has good mental processing, by identifying gaps and rushing the QB. He will watch and follow the QB's eyes leading him a tackle. One thing that stood out to me was his ball tracking skills. For example, he tipped the ball, and kept tipping it to himself until he got the interception. He used those very good ball tracking skills to gain 2 more interceptions, leading one to the house. He's a good run stopper, stops the defender in their tracks. He kills it in zone coverage, and uses his athletic ability to cover WRs and TEs. Thomson started off hot, and I'm excited to see how he continues over the course of the season.

Man, did I have a fun time watching CT's film. This kid is all over the field. Whether it's as a running back, tight end, linebacker, or edge rusher, CT showed why he's one of the top athletes in Colorado. Think high school version of Taysom Hill. Measures in at 6'3 215 pounds, he has 9 carries for 121 yards and 4 touchdowns; 2 receptions for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns; 14 total tackles (9 solo, 5 assisted), 1 TFL, 1 sack. Worley has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, change of direction, and balance. He has very good competitive toughness. He runs with a head full of steam and ferocity. Worley is a very physical player, and initiates contact first no matter what position. He uses his very good vision to slither between defenders while maintaining home run speed to run past them all. He was consistently shedding tackles, and falling forward for extra yards. He's got good catching as well. Worley has very good strength. As a blocker, he locks up defenders, overpowering them or steering them out of the way using good hand placement. As a linebacker, he's a hard hitter who lays the boom. He uses his athleticism to keep up with tight ends and wide receivers in coverage. Worley is an amazing player that any college would be lucky to have.

I would be doing this list a disservice if I left Mason off it. He is currently the leading rusher in Colorado with 2 200+ games. So far, he has 89 carries for 671 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's averaging 7.5 yards per carry which is phenomenal. As a linebacker, he has 32 total tackles (14 solo, 18 assisted), 4 TFL, 3 PD, 1 FR. This kid is a baller on both sides of the field. He has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, balance, and change of direction. He's a downhill runner who punishes the defense with his physicality. Markovich uses his very good vision to identify which holes to run through. Uses dynamic cuts to juke out defenders. Mason will put the shoulder pads down and bulldoze through the defense. He uses his powerful legs to fight through contact and drive forward. He also bounces off the linebackers. Once he's in the open field, he is gone. Using his home run speed to blaze past defenders into the end zone. As a linebacker, he is a physical force. He uses his gap knowledge to ID which one to rush, leading to a TFL. He uses his lengthy arms to knock the ball out of the air. Markovich is a good run stopper, stopping them in their tracks. He also has the athleticism to keep up with WRs and TEs in man or zone coverage. I loved watching his tape, and I believe Mason will continue dominating the rest of the season.

Meurer is having a fantastic season. He is currently #2 in the state with receiving yards and with good reason. This kid can ball. Measuring in at 6'0 170 pounds, he has accounted for 18 receptions for 409 yards and 5 touchdowns. In 3 out of the 4 games played, he has gone over 100 + yards. Meurer has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction, and balance. Also can decelerate, and accelerate instantly for good juke moves. He has a good release, and excels against the press jam. Meurer has very good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and play strength. He'll out run the defensive back or he'll fight through contact whether at the LOS or during the route to get open. Meurer is an excellent route runner, showing off his crisp routes. His comeback routes are beautiful. He has very good catching. Adjusting below or extending his arms out to pluck the ball. Noah excels at contested catches. He'll continue to hold onto the ball while getting tackled. An underrated aspect of his game would be his blocking. He overpowers DBs and creates running lanes for his two studs at running back, [player_tooltip player_id='777538' first='Jaiden' last='Green'] and [player_tooltip player_id='522704' first='Adrian' last='Symalla']. After the catch, he uses his home run speed to blaze past defenders, or use dynamic cuts to juke them out. I loved watching Meurer play, and like I said earlier, Arvada West has a nice little squad. Watch out.
