As the third week of the Alabama high school football season comes to a close, we've witnessed some standout performances that have left a mark on both sides of the ball. This week, we've zeroed in on who made game-changing plays and demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and athleticism. These young athletes not only dominated their respective positions but also showed the potential to be future stars at the collegiate level. From powerful rushing attacks to lockdown coverage and hard-hitting defense, these players brought their A-game under the Friday night lights.    Rushed for 150 yards on 16 carries vs James Clemens   Samuel Monroe showcased his explosive speed and quick burst through the line, consistently gaining yards after contact. His low center of gravity and powerful legs made it difficult for defenders to bring him down on the first attempt. Monroe demonstrated patience in allowing blocks to develop before bursting through, showing a high football IQ. He was a key factor in several big plays, using his acceleration to create separation from defenders. Monroe's ability to break away for long gains helped set the tone for his team's offensive dominance. He has a low center of gravity, allowing him to power through tackles and maintain balance. Blackmon's vision and decision-making were evident as he consistently found gaps in the defense. His quick acceleration and ability to change direction on a dime made him nearly impossible to catch in the open field. Blackmon also showed versatility, contributing as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.     Rigdon passed for 249 yds, 2 TD's and 1 rushing TD   [player_tooltip player_id='260915' first='Gavin' last='Rigdon'] led his team with confidence and poise, showcasing his ability to read defenses and make quick decisions. He demonstrated pinpoint accuracy, connecting on deep passes and threading the needle in tight coverage. Rigdon's mobility allowed him to extend plays and find receivers downfield, adding a dual-threat dimension to his game. His calm demeanor under pressure was evident, as he converted several crucial third downs. Rigdon's leadership on and off the field makes him a natural team captain.     12-of-16 passing for 144 yards & 4 TDs vs Smiths Station   [player_tooltip player_id='974922' first='Andrew' last='Alford'] put on a show with his accurate passing and exceptional field vision, making smart reads against a tough defense. His quick release and ability to deliver passes with velocity made it difficult for defenders to react. Alford demonstrated his athleticism by extending plays with his legs, scrambling for key first downs when the pocket collapsed. He maintained his composure under pressure, completing several difficult passes while being hit by defenders. Alford's great performance proves he's a quarterback capable of leading his team to victory. He demonstrated precision passing, completing throws to all levels of the field, and consistently finding his receivers in stride. His leadership and composure were evident in a game-winning drive, where he flawlessly managed the clock and executed key plays. Rushed for 287 yards on 39 carries & 4 TDs, 4 receptions for 24 yards   Chase Stracener demonstrated exceptional explosiveness, breaking multiple tackles for long runs throughout the game. His ability to hit the holes quickly and accelerate into open space made him a constant threat to the opposing defense. Stracener displayed excellent vision, finding gaps and cutting back with precision, leaving defenders grasping at air. His agility and balance were evident in his ability to change direction without losing speed, making him a nightmare to tackle. A versatile back, Stracener also showed soft hands in the passing game, adding another dimension to his offensive impact.     Recorded 21 tackles, 3 TFL, 4 QB hurries, forced fumble, fumble recovery   Jeremiah Atkins was a tackling machine, consistently flying around the field and stopping plays before they could develop. His instincts and quick reaction time allowed him to read the offense and make crucial stops in both the run and pass game. Atkins displayed impressive open-field tackling, taking down elusive runners with clean, textbook technique. He also showed versatility by covering receivers tightly, breaking up several passes with his aggressive style. His performance as a physical, hard-hitting defensive back was instrumental in his team's success.
