is a national sleeper that was deadly for Central during their state championship run last year. His game is better suited for Friday nights than it is for the camp scene, but he held his own and showed plenty to be excited about. He wasn’t the biggest QB in attendance nor did he have the strongest arm, but he was finely equipped in both of those categories and played with confidence. He has solid mechanics and a quick release. On tape, he flashes some impressive mobility in the pocket and can make throws off-platform. I am a big fan of Alford and I am an even bigger fan after seeing how confidently he operates.”

Alford had a stellar game, going 13-of-21 for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns, proving himself as a prolific passer. His deep ball accuracy stood out, with several explosive plays downfield. Alford showed great composure in the pocket, even when faced with defensive pressure. His ability to extend plays with his legs added another dimension to his game. He’s emerging as a premier playmaker in 7A football.

is a really talented passer out of Central that has been great for his offense the last few years and so far this season he’s been on fire. Alford has been off to a terrific start this season and last Friday he had a huge performance in a 42-35 win over Dothan. Alford has a ton of talent as a passer- he has terrific arm strength, accuracy, and decision-making skills that have allowed him to completely dismantle defenses the last few seasons. Alford can place the ball anywhere he wants on the field, leads his receivers really well, and isn’t afraid to take easy gains with check-downs either. In his team’s win this last week, Alford threw the ball all over the field and ended the game completing 13-21 passing attempts for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns. Watch out for Alford the rest of this season, he’s a big reason why his team is 4-0 right now and is going to continue to make huge plays the rest of this year.

Throws a catchable ball with appropriate touch. Overall ball placement is good, facilitating yards after the catch. Able to anticipate and make some bucket throws downfield, with plenty of air under the football; consistently threatened opposing defenses down the sidelines. Shows some ability to climb when facing outside pressure. Stays calm and keeps his eyes downfield when fleeing the pocket.
