After 2 weeks, there are a number of guys that are really starting to make a name for themselves early this season! We are seeing some guys really start to emerge over the rest, so let's cover some of these rising stars!

Walsh was high on my radar heading into this season, and he has solidified my belief that he is one of the most underrated backs in the state. He has one of the most eye-popping stat lines of the week with just 9 carries for 187 yards! He crossed the 2,000 career yard threshold which is no easy feat as well. His highlights show his big play ability, his fantastic contact balance and the versatility to run hard between the tackles or get out in space and dominate. Dalls is going to be a big piece of the puzzle for Millington to make a deep run in the postseason, and he has started off the season with a bang!

This kid has played beyond his years for a long time now, so it's hard to believe he's still only a junior! Luke had a great week 1 against a tough Cass Tech team, and followed it up by being all over the field once again, this time lined up across from a physical and talented Muskegon team. His highlights show his natural instincts and ability to be a game wrecker. From blowing up screens, to tracking the ball in the air to cause PBUs or just coming up and making big stops in the run game, you can see how special Luke is and what kind of season he is in store for! This should be an incredibly high recruit on most D2 boards at least.

After coming in part of the way through the game in week 1, it seems Drew is going to be keeping the starting QB job at Divine Child, and he absolutely earned his keep in week 2! Drew showed great poise. He didn't look uncomfortable at all, making quick decisions and trusting what he saw. He had really good ball placement and demonstrated his ability to throw on the run. Divine Child has to be absolutely pumped that they seemingly have 4 seasons of really good QB play in their pocket. I'm looking forward to seeing what Drew can add to his tool belt with some more varsity experience.

Landon's week 2 was unbelievably efficient. Of his 11 completions, 5 of them were touchdowns! His highlights show him able to be very mobile in the pocket and still setting his feet and delivering accurate deep balls and zinging short and intermediate routes into the chest. I think his ceiling is higher than I initially thought, so I am very excited to see what else he has up his sleeve for the rest of the season!

This is really one of the bigger surprises, as I didn't know a ton about him, but I saw he posted that he had 6 catches for 80 yards, a TD and an interception so I had to take a look. As a receiver, he is a big body who is exceptional at finding soft spots in the defense and getting open. Defensively, he is a lanky DB who uses his long arms to swat balls away or reach and snag interceptions as noted above. I will be keeping a much closer eye on Weston's weekly posts to see how he performs this season, but I really like what I see so far.
