McDermott is the younger brother of Ransom, who was once one of the top linemen in his class. Now, it's his younger brother's turn to shine, and we have a good one. The frame is something to be excited about because it's legit. A full 6'6" and 280lbs that you can only draw up normally in a lab. He's violent, he's incredibly strong, he's got a mean streak to his game, and he's only just getting started. His ability to flatten defensive players right off the line is as clean as it gets. The future is bright for McDermott and if he continues to develop the way he is, there's no telling how far he can go.

I think there's a good chance that Kuhmichel might quietly be one of the best players on the Columbia City team, which has some pretty talented players. He's got a great prototypical build for the offensive line and great mobility. He bends well, he's off the line quickly, and is a force in the 2nd level because he's such a mismatch. He's also got a fairly high motor and will continue lead-blocking downfield. You can tell he's putting work in the weight room as well. There are quite a few things about Kuhmichel that point towards being a starter on Saturdays.

Cherry is someone we highlighted coming into the season with potential, and so far, he's lived up to that potential. He's starting on the left side for Merrillville and doing a good job in the running game. He's got a good first step and can clear his man in the running game. The pass protection footwork is a work in progress, but he's young, putting in the work, and improving rapidly. I do think he fits more of the mold to be an interior lineman, but playing tackle and having success is always a great sign.

One of the upcoming and talented linemen for Cathedral is Martin, who is in his second year at the Varsity level for Cathedral. There have been some big holes for the backs to hit and Martin is a reason why. He's got plenty of natural strength, but his upper body is still getting there. He does a good job with his assignments and is clearly a smart player. As nimble and good on the move as he is, I can't imagine he'll have any issue finding a spot at the next level, especially being a 3-year starter.

Parciak is a multi-year starter who is as reliable and steady as they come. You can only earn the nickname "Big Baby" if you earn it, or you deserve it. He's earned that title and there's a big big difference. You need guys like Parciak on your team. The football world goes around with guys like him. He's big, he's violent, and he's football through and through. He's an All-State offensive lineman and is one of the most intense players on the field in the class.

The 2025 offensive line class is probably the deepest any position has ever been for the state. To have star linemen like Sharp being buried in the shuffle for so long speaks volumes to the talent of the class. Sharp checks all the boxes, has the size, and experience. People forget that Valparaiso was in the state title just a few years back, and it's because of guys like Sharp. Guys who show up, do their job, don't complain, and play football at a high level. He's a 3-year starter with a ton of experience and will end up being a huge steal for some program.

Merrillville has a fairly good offensive line and it's because of guys like Ireland. We've highlighted his teammate in the section above, but what Ireland brings to the table is a player who knows how to flip that switch. When the ball is snapped, it's all ball. He's a high-motor player who will not only bust his tail to get downfield, but will make sure to keep his guy down and out of the play near the pocket. He's strong, well built, and can play on both the outside and inside of the line.
