As we have reached the end of the month of September, he have reached the halfway point in the 2024 high school football regular season in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, I wanted to take a look back at some of the top players of the first half by releasing my Midseason All-State teams in each class.
[player_tooltip player_id='735547' first='Jack' last='James'] is a player who came into this season with high expectations and has truly lived up to them so far. Through six games, James is the statewide leader in passing, completing 150/229 passes for 1,912 yards, 23 touchdowns, and four interceptions. James has a very strong arm which he is able to use to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also has shown impressive accuracy, hitting his receivers out of their breaks where they can make catches in stride. James has also scored four rushing touchdowns so far this season. Jack is committed to Troy where I can see him being their quarterback of the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489400' first='Cavalli' last='Pittman'] is a player who has jumped onto my radar with a very strong junior season so far. Pittman is currently the statewide leading rusher, carrying the ball 140 times for 1,442 yards and 19 touchdowns in six games. Cavalli is a strong downhill runner, showing the ability to keep his legs churning and run straight through defenders without breaking stride. He has also shown the burst of speed to run away from the defense on long runs. Pittman doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next couple seasons.

Luke is an impressive route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. He also has the speed to pose as a threat in the deep passing game. Tompkins has also made an impact on defense, accounting for 18 tackles and two interceptions so far this season.
