Weekend Recap: Top Performers & Stock Risers

<p>I was out a lot this past weekend at multiple scrimmage and games all of Thursday, Friday, and Sat. Below are some of the top performers that I got eyes on. These are 2025/26 Prospects that look to be standout players for this fall and impressed me with their abilities in early gameplay. I expect all these prospects to be either new additions or big risers in the next rankings for their specific classes.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ben had a strong first varsity start against a loaded Bishop McDevitt (PA) team. He had a total of 329 passing yards and added 43 yards rushing, while showing great leadership and poise. </p>   <p>Throughout the game, Ben made a lot of high level throws. Showed good pocket mobility and awareness, extending the play with his legs or stepping up in the pocket to deliver a strike. I saw him show off his off strength with nice zip and velocity on his throws, delivering the ball into some tight windows and pushing the ball vertically as well as to the sidelines. Ben showed the ability to lead this MSJ team this year and put up good numbers all season long. I am always one to say "I want to see you do it in game" and not just in 7v7 or workouts but against guys in your face when it matters. Ben passed this test and I expect him to move up in our next 2026 rankings.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BenRainesQB/status/1828241891730551076 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">I was on the sideline for McDonogh's game vs. Mt Zion Prep (MD) this past Friday, and it would be hard to say Nick wasn't the best play on the field that night. He was all over the field making plays and was a menace for the Mt Zion offense. Nick racked up 10 total tackles, with 3 sacks, 1 TFL and 1 INT. </p>   <p>Nick was a missile all game long, flying to the ball and hit sticking dudes left and right. He can play in space getting sideline to sideline or dropping back in coverage. For his interception, he flashed fluid hips and good instincts reading the route and QB to put himself in the right spot to make the play. Nick is also capable of playing in the box, coming down hill, fills/plugs the gaps, sheds off blockers and stops the ball carrier in their path. </p>   <p>With his frame at 6'2" 210lbs. and self reported 82" wingspan, Nick will continue to fill out nicely and add strength/bulk. He currently holds 1 offer from Penn State, and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't pick up more in the next few weeks. He is a no doubt Power 5 prospect in my my mind and he is in line to make a huge jump in our next rankings.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/thenickabrams/status/1827370881053606119 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Elijah had a great showing at Wise's quad scrimmage this past weekend. Multiple times he beat defenders deep over the top for big scores. He tracks the ball very well and displayed soft hands, whole also being able to go up and high point the ball over the DB. </p>   <p>Another thing that stood out to me was in Elijah's physical development over the past year. He's grown about an inch and really filled out his frame packing on the muscle. While he is still a smooth, clean route runner that can line up in the slot. Elijah now also has the frame/size to be a big X receiver, be that vertical & red-zone threat that can take a hit. That is just another trait to add to his skill set that makes him an intriguing prospect this fall. I expect a huge season out of Elijah with QB [player_tooltip player_id='1224794' first='Eric' last='Wedge'] throwing him the ball. He will have many colleges circling back to him this fall and being high on boards.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ElijahPedro2025 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Saw Trevon at QO's scrimmage against Loyola this past Friday. This was my first time getting live eyes on Trevon and he was very impressive. He currently holds no offers, but that should change quickly in my mind. A no doubt D2 player to me and should be getting look from FCS schools this fall.</p>   <p>Trevon has great length at the corner position which allows him to get his hands on lots of passes for PBUs. With fluid hips and smooth feet he is able to stay in phase with the WR and ride their hip. A physical player as well, Trevon does not hesitate to come up to support the run and strong tackler. Expect Trevon to have a breakout senior year and be a name on people's radars this fall.</p>   <p></p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/tre_baby18 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Mason is a 2026 WR that is poised to shine this season and will surely be a name for our next 2026 player rankings as big riser. Transferring back to Quince Orchard after a year at Seneca Valley HS, this was my first time seeing him in action and he had a strong showing Friday evening. </p>   <p>He had the stand out play of the game, going up mossing the defender and high pointing the ball for an impressive 1 handed TD catch. Showing his athleticism, strong hands, toughness and focus all in one play. As impressive as that one play was, Mason showed plenty of other impressive traits on the day. I like Mason best in the slot as he is a crisp route runner. He is able to create separation and his own space to get himself open for big plays. He can take a screen pass, make a guy miss and get big yards or go across the middle making sure handed catches. Mason will be a key weapon for QO this fall and will be instrumental to their success. I expect Mason to be on a lot of colleges boards after his Jr. campaign and have a big camp season next summer.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/MizzerMason/status/1827526468399751673 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">I saw Shaun live during the quad-scrimmage over at Wise and the first thing you notice about Shaun is his frame and size. He is easily 6'3"+ with great length and lean frame that will add plenty of bulk. </p>   <p>Lining up many as an edge LB for Old Mill, Shaun is able to come off the edge and make big plays in the backfield. He can also drop back in coverage and even play some in the slot/hybrid SS role. Shaun plays on his toes, showing good COD and ability to hold the edge.
