With high school football coming back this month, we take a look at some of the best offensive Trios within class 4A. This list includes strictly skill players so apologies to the offensive line!

Lewis Central

The gunslinging all-state quarterback returns to lead the Titans offense. Alongside him return the 2nd and 3rd leading rushers on the team, Patlan and Chappell. With Hetzel leading the helm and a productive duo in the backfield, the Titans can once again have a chance to make some magic happen.

Storm Lake

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1619859' first='Cameron' last='Boyd']

What makes this trio interesting is that they all have time. These three past catchers have playmaking ability and are reliable young targets. If there can be a distribution rhythm between these three targets, then the Storm Lake offense will be one to watch come this fall.

Boone

ATH - Christian Ingram

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1619827' first='Jude' last='Baumgardner']

The three-headed monster in this backfield can cause some damage. [player_tooltip player_id='1421447' first='Joshua' last='Ingram'] would have been another option for this latest but these three proved more consistent and productive. If they can keep their production rolling, the Toreadors' offense can be as efficient as any other.

Carlise

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1280026' first='Caleb' last='Nordhagen']

In an offense where multiple guys ran the ball, the Wildcats returned three of their productive athletes. Lucas and Nordhagen were the two leading rushers of the team last year and Nolan even had himself a productive stat line as well. If these three can spread the love and still be as productive as last year the Wildcats will have a dangerous trio in the backfield.

North Scott

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1402859' first='Jerrod' last='Lee']

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1279117' first='Cash' last='Bowe']

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='305767' first='Carson' last='Lage']

The Lancers trio is one of the more impressive trios in the state. With a workhorse back in Lee and two long and skilled deep-threat pass catchers in Lage and Bowe, they can put together yet another explosive campaign in the fall.

Pella

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1286455' first='Tyson' last='Barnes']

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1286458' first='Colin' last='Kerndt']

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1240470' first='Emmanuel' last='Diers']

Kerndt and Barnes are already two of the more productive receivers in the state. They both bring adequate playmaking ability and size to the receiver position. Diers may have had a limited role last year but with the time he got, he showed a lot of potential. Due for a bigger role, he can burst onto the scene and be a productive back. If that is the case the Dutch offense will be a dangerous group come the fall.
