6. Hinesward Lilomaiava, Mission Viejo

Lilomaiava is built like a defensive lineman and he is a tough guy to bring down. He ran for 1152 yards with 16 touchdowns while helping lead Mission Viejo to a State championship. Lilomaiava is always a threat to run somebody over, but also can bounce runs outside and make big plays.

Abad has run for over 1,000 yards for the past two seasons including 1470 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He has carried Sonora to back-to-back playoff appearances after a bit of a drought. Like Essis of Tustin, his size causes some college coaches to sleep on him, but he is a playmaker and a gamer for Sonora.

8. [player_tooltip player_id='1091646' first='Ryan' last='McKevitt'], Laguna Hills

McKevitt is a speedster who transferred to Laguna Hills a year ago from Mission Viejo and was a top running back in the area before getting injured. His straight away speed is impressive and he makes one cut and goes rather than dancing around a bunch. He's not the biggest back on this list, but he is still most effective between the tackles and if he gets through the second level, he is scoring. McKevitt has been racking up lower level offers and recently received a Division 1 offer from Drake.

9. Brandon Figueroa, Irvine

Figueroa ran for over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns last season despite playing with some inconsistency at quarterback at Irvine. His field vision and instincts as a runner are very good and he can break tackles. I wouldn't call Figueroa a speed demon, but he can return punts and is dangerous in the open field.

10. [player_tooltip player_id='976882' first='Lee' last='Fuimaono'], San Clemente

Fuimaono would be higher on this list but he's primarily a linebacker who got a handful of carries each game at running back last season. He had a nice season at Santa Margarita as a sophomore at running back. "Puka" is a downhill runner who has good size and field vision. He is committed to Arizona State as a linebacker.
