Brian recently committed to Limestone University, which is obviously great for him and his family. The reliable slot receiver is impressive in a number of ways - strong hands, excellent routes, and the ability to make plays in pressure situations. The Patriots figure to be in a number of big games this season, and having their leading receiver from last year returning is a major plus. Crowder has good speed to win on down field routes from the slot against defensive backs on a consistent basis.

Damarius impressed me at a couple of showcases in the late spring, and his strong performances have led to him receiving some well deserved recruiting attention. Damarius has offers from Edward Waters University and Fayetteville State University currently. Damarius is an explosively fast twitch prospect who is a big-play threat when the ball touches his hands. Playing for a smart offensive coach in Scott Chadwick, it will be interesting to see how his senior season plays out at Clayton.

With offers from Western Illinois, Maine, and North Carolina A&T just this summer - it appears RJ is becoming one of those hot recruiting risers as we get closer to the start of the season. I think with his size, teams will be excited because he has the talent to play both outside and in the slot on the next level. With 49 catches for 815 yards and 11 touchdowns last year, I think RJ has the capability of a 1000 yard receiving season this year.

I saw Joe in person this summer at a showcase, and he was physically impressive. The college coaches thought so as well, as he received an on the spot offer from Johnson C. Smith as a gift for his attendance at the camp. Joe also picked up offers from Shaw, Chowan, and Allen University this summer so with a strong start to the season, I'd expect Joe to vault up our rankings at the next evaluation period. Joe also boasts a 4.1 GPA which will allow him to explore all those options presented to him.

I recently wrote about Andrew as a part of meeting and studying him at the Fayetteville Media Day. I'm really excited to see if he can top the incredible production he had last season and help Lejeune have a strong season in the 1A classification here in the state. From a recruiting perspective, I think with a strong 3-4 game start to the season, in-state schools should strongly consider offering this talented young man.

Justice recently picked up an offer to play college football at Dickenson College, and what they see is a speedy slot receiver who has strong hands and runs good routes for the Raptors. Seeing a wide receiver on the high school level with over 1300 receiving yards in a season is very rare, but that's the kind of production Justice provided. With a talented quarterback returning for the Raptors, it would be hard pressed to say similar production isn't possible for this young man. Justice is a three sport star also, excelling in wrestling and on the track.

The big reason why Johntay is on our Watch List is for his incredible track exploits. Johntay is a 3 Time MVP and an All-Conference track runner, so we are watching to see if passes from a young talented quarterback in [player_tooltip player_id='1321016' first='Cameron' last='Gandy'] at Pine Lake end up leading to a productive season for him. There is a lot of upside to like, and a strong season will definitely push Johntay higher in the rankings for us.

With star receiver Keenan Jackson moving on to play college football, there is a void in the Weddington receiving core that needs to be filled. Barber is a good candidate to do just that. With a strong track background, Barber is a big play threat for the Warriors who has to be accounted for wherever he lines up in the formation. Barber currently has an offer from Pembroke, and should garner more recruiting interest as the Warriors will be in several high profile games early this season.

Evan put up some very impressive production last season with over 1000 yards receiving and 500 yards rushing in a dual running back/slot receiver role for the Falcons. When you see those kinds of numbers, there's definitely some talent there. However, so far Gardner-Webb has been the only school to offer Evan, which is a bit surprising to me honestly. Evan also had 16 total touchdowns - 10 receiving and 6 rushing and was an All-Conference & All-County player. It will be sooner than later that Evan gets more attention and love - he will be a steal for a college for sure.

Sean recently committed to playing football at Gardner-Webb University on the next level. Sean had offers from several schools before settling on the Bulldogs. The thing I love about Sean is his electric start/stop ability. He can take a simple curl route in zone and go 0-60 and go score. He shows that a couple of times in his highlights. Also, Sean is very dangerous in the quick screen game, as he is like a running back with the ball in his hands, using great vision to create big plays and touchdowns. Finally, on kickoff and punt returns he is dangerous for the same reason. Gardner-Webb is getting a difference maker into their program.
