I first saw Joe at a summer college camp and thought he had excellent potential for a breakout season this year with his combination of size, speed, catch radius, and technical route ability. Joe’s season was limited due to injury, but he showed some great skills. Joe has an excellent ability to high-point the football in single coverage against cornerbacks. Joe also loves to get physical in the running game, blocking to the whistle against defensive backs routinely on film. Finally, Joe has good long speed to make big plays down the football field as a playmaker.

I saw Joe in person this summer at a showcase, and he was physically impressive. The college coaches thought so as well, as he received an on the spot offer from Johnson C. Smith as a gift for his attendance at the camp. Joe also picked up offers from Shaw, Chowan, and Allen University this summer so with a strong start to the season, I’d expect Joe to vault up our rankings at the next evaluation period. Joe also boasts a 4.1 GPA which will allow him to explore all those options presented to him.
