PRZCJ's Notebook: 5 Recent Evals

Part of my job is to scour the state and uncover some of the best-hidden talent in the land. Once I find those guys, I try to share that information and get some positive buzz around their names. Here are a few that recently caught my attention. Expect this to be a recurring series.    When it comes to height, weight, and speed, CJ Enwemadu is one of the best athletes in the state, especially given his position. He comes in at an athletic 6'3 185. He will have to add another 20+ pounds to even be considered to stick on the LOS. Thankfully, he has plenty of room to grow. He is a 10.7 runner in the 100M and has some bend, making him a prototype speed rusher. Tape is limited, but based on what is available, there are hardly any offensive tackles in the state that can keep him in front of them. The only hope is to stun him at the line or flush him out of the play. He instantly restricts the pocket and is one of, if not the fastest player on the field at every position. He is a late bloomer and his senior film will be important. He has a few offers under his belt, but some D1s better be ready to pull the trigger on him as an athlete.     Alquan Wheeler is a tone-setter up front for Peachtree Ridge. He comes in at 6'4 260 and could carry 290 well. He lines up all over the line, flexing from DE to IDL pretty consistently. He has clubs for hands, jarring blockers with his punch and steering them off platform when his hands are on their chests. He is not necessarily a prolific pass rusher, but he can dent the pocket and is active around the QB, getting his hands up and pushing the blocker onto the toes of the QB to make him uncomfortable. Wheeler is another name that is flying under the radar despite having FBS tools. He instantly rises up my board and he will be battle-tested against good competition this fall.     Mungin is super raw and is still growing, but there is a lot to build on athletically. He is paper thin at 165. Another 30+ pounds at least is still left in the tank. He is a fantastic athlete when the play breaks down and he can create his own yards, but he prefers to sit back in the pocket and fire the ball downfield. His pocket mechanics are pretty sharp, stepping up to evade pressure and making subtle moves around defenders to get his arm free. He is refining as a passer, but he can rocket the ball around the field. At times, it seems like he isn't putting 100% into his throws. Regardless, prospects with his frame can rip through the ball and drive it around the field. If he were a pitcher, he would throw 90+ MPH. He might be a project, but his physical upside is hard to argue against.     Benjamin Gilbert was ranked as one of the best Canadian OL prospects in the nation by our scouts. Now, he is moving down to Georgia to play at Rabun Gap, where he will be tested against solid competition. He comes in at 6'4 285 and is a good athlete. He is lighter on his feet and can drive defenders out of the play. He played like a bully in Canada, launching and ragdolling defenders all over the field. He might not be able to consistently do that in the states, but I believe he is a good enough mover and has enough power to play at a high level once he adjusts to the speed of the game. Gilbert should receive some D1 buzz.     Get to know [player_tooltip player_id='1613058' first='Jared' last='Hill'], because there is a good chance he is a pretty noteworthy OL prospect very soon. As a freshman, he played a critical role for Lanier at RT. They consistently ran behind him, and for good reason. He is thickly built and not as agile as other OL prospects in the class, but he can completely clear out running lanes and displace defenders. He carries his weight well, meaning he can hold his own in the passing game and leak out to the second level. He has a patient, clean pass-set and is bull rush proof. Once his hands are on you, it is over. He is simply too strong and too physically manipulative. I predict Hill to garner FBS attention soon.
