The Washington 4A Preseason All-State team is structured to highlight those individuals who project to be the most valuable on their individual teams. It is NOT a list with just the top recruits. Instead of honorable mention picks you will see extended 1st & 2nd team selections. Also referenced will be the Offensive & Defensive POY candidates.

Please note that this is not an all-conference breakdown, so it will be much more difficult to make this team when incorporating the entire state. Check it..

Offensive POY Candidates (#1-4)

1.[player_tooltip player_id='348171' first='Kolton' last='Matson'] 25' QB Lake Stevens

2.[player_tooltip player_id='693684' first='Gavin' last='Packer'] 25' WR Skyview

3.[player_tooltip player_id='1095820' first='Indiana' last='Jones'] 25' RB Kennedy Catholic

4.[player_tooltip player_id='348138' first='Jayshon' last='Limar'] 25' RB Lake Stevens

The returning Gatorade Washington POY [player_tooltip player_id='348171' first='Kolton' last='Matson'] is a good place to start if we are talking on state player of the year candidates. The 2x state champ will be a favorite after throwing for 3,408 yards and 49 TDs/5 INTs last season.

Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='348138' first='Jayshon' last='Limar'] could get in the mix as well playing for the 4A state power. He was impressive last year as well, finishing with 142 touches for 1,233 rushing/receiving yards and 14 TDs.

I would consider [player_tooltip player_id='693684' first='Gavin' last='Packer'] the state's most exciting athlete, with Skyview potentially being a top 5 program this coming season. He went for 1000+ all-purpose yards and 10 TDs while missing 3 games. If he can help the Storm get to the title game, he will be your POY.

You obviously can't sleep on [player_tooltip player_id='1095820' first='Indiana' last='Jones']. The returning NPSL player of the year went for over 1700 total yards and 28 TDs with zero fumbles last season. Look for the Lancers to once again be a 4A title contender which will help with the individual accolades.

Positionally I really like the ATH group with [player_tooltip player_id='726148' first='Zamarie' last='Tellez'] potentially being the most exciting player in the state for the 2026 class. If there is anyone who is the exception to the rule from a size standpoint it's him.

I would consider [player_tooltip player_id='693679' first='Peyton' last='Cunningham'] somewhat underrated even with the Washington St and San Diego St offers, with 6-3 200-pound Idaho commit [player_tooltip player_id='693693' first='Casey' last='Larson'] being one of two individuals selected 1st team all-state on both sides of the football.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='1165423' first='Brady' last='Jay'] put up some ridiculous numbers as a sophomore, passing for 3,251 yards and 48 TDs. The Big 9 POY will get some D1 looks.

Two other 25's who will likely kill it again include [player_tooltip player_id='693696' first='Cameron' last='Weir'] of Skyline and [player_tooltip player_id='1136319' first='Colson' last='Mackey'] of Richland. People are sleeping on Mackey with the film and numbers speaking for themselves. His 59 catches for 1,015 yards and 12 TDs were extremely impressive, with Weir earning 1st team all-conference honors at WR/DB & as a Kick Returner.

Other underclassmen who we will hear a lot about include top 2027 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1188109' first='Braylon' last='Pope'] who had 36 catches for 603 yards and 11 TDs as a freshman. 2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1165376' first='Jonah' last='Keller'] is somewhat unknown, but was the only sophomore to earn 1st team All GSL accolades, and has the potential of being the 2x conference POY.

Two D1 TE's headline that position with high profile 4* [player_tooltip player_id='693678' first='Noah' last='Flores'] committing to UCLA and [player_tooltip player_id='1136315' first='Carter' last='Cocke'] committing to FCS power Montana St.

On the offensive front 6-6 tackle [player_tooltip player_id='587332' first='Noah' last='Thomas'] was an absolute steal for Oregon St. Him and UW commit [player_tooltip player_id='1248703' first='Lowen' last='Colman-Brusa'] could play early for the Huskies and Beavers. Both of their HS teams should compete for a state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='1349889' first='Kingston' last='Kerkhoff'] had a big junior year and off season, landing a handful of big time D1 offers. 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1188082' first='Gecova' last='Doyal'] is one of the fastest rising line prospects in the country for his class and should thrive playing for the state champs from an accolade standpoint.

Last but not least [player_tooltip player_id='945876' first='Jack' last='Beardall'] who is maybe the most fundamentally sound lineman in the state. He earned 1st team all-conference honors and anchored the O line as part of a solid 11-2 Eastlake team.

<!--
