5A-Region 1 Team MVP's

Cocke Co.: (Ath) Raeshon Palmer

Daniel Boone: ‘26 (TE/DE) Jude Hensley

David Crockett: (WR/DB) Lamarkus Dunn

Morristown-West: (Ath) Bereket Evans

Sevier Co.: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='219342' first='Tegan' last='Avera']

Tenn. High: (OL/DT) [player_tooltip player_id='937077' first='Micah' last='Norton']

- Cocke Co. could be the surprise team within this region and if they are, Palmer will be a big reason why. This 6'0 two-way talent will be expected to produce on both sides of the ball while also contributing on special teams as well. Picking the team MVP for Daniel Boone was tough but eyes centered on Hensley, who could be a key factor on both offense and defense this season. Much of the same can be said for Dunn and his importance to his Pioneers team this season. His 6'2 size and long arms will come in handy at both receiver and defensive back.

The Trojans have a shot at competing for the region title this season and that can happen with upper echelon play from Evans. A two sport star at Mo-West, Evans is a natural athlete that can provide big play abilities on both sides of the ball. Moving over to Sevier Co. for his senior season, Avera is one of the top rushers in this state based on production that now has a great shot at competing for Mr. Football, playing here on the 5A level. Norton is a weight room warrior that has been working hard all off-season to put forth his best performance yet and I think he is ready for the big spotlight.

5A-Region 2 Team MVP's

Heritage: (DE) [player_tooltip player_id='1102500' first='Cole' last='McCampbell']

Knox. Central: (Ath) Daniel Sackie

Knox. Halls: ‘26 (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1102989' first='Amari' last='Lethgo']

Knox. West: (DB/WR) Antwain Burdine

Powell: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='937072' first='Connor' last='Wheeler']

- McCampbell returns for his senior season as one of the top sack artists from the Class 5A ranks and with a strong counterpart on the other side of him in [player_tooltip player_id='1310381' first='Carson' last='Weber'], I can see this edge defender putting up close to 10 sacks this year. It was a close call to make for team MVP on the Bobcats team but I went with Sackie, who I foresee being a big piece on this year's team as he should be featured on both sides of the ball. Lethgo is the engine that runs the Knox. Halls team and the Red Devils should be quite good this season. This junior quarterback brings a nice mix of leadership, passing and running abilities to the table that could put him in the mix for Mr. Football.

Knox. West is looking for new guys to step forward into bigger roles this year and Burdine looks like a prime candidate to be one of those prospects. His future in football looks to be at defensive back but his athleticism and overall skill set will certainly be needed at receiver as well. Wheeler has been a constant within the Panthers offense for multiple years now and this his senior season might be his best yet. He is for sure a top candidate for Mr. Football but can also boost his stock significantly for the college level with a sensational senior year.

5A-Region 3 Team MVP's

Campbell Co.: (RB/LB) [player_tooltip player_id='1215514' first='Gavin' last='Owens']

Clinton: (WR/DB) [player_tooltip player_id='1516009' first='Bo' last='Wright']

Karns: (LB) [player_tooltip player_id='834568' first='Alex' last='Idol']

Lenoir City: (OL) [player_tooltip player_id='219352' first='Bryson' last='Daugherty']

Oak Ridge: ‘26 (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='205650' first='Blaine' last='Stansberry']

- The Cougars reside inside a tough region this year but have enough talent, including Owens, to reach the playoffs this year. The play of Owens will be a major reason for the cause as the team's lead running back and one of the defensive players at linebacker. Clinton has several choices this year for team MVP but senior vet Wright is someone I can see having a big year as the team's go-to, dependable receiving target. Karns could be battling for the bottom half of this region but Idol is a guy on defense that could help keep the Beavers in games.

I can see several prospects on this year's Lenoir City team compete for MVP but Daughtery I feel is too good and consistent up front to not end up with this honor. He is a team leader and a physical presence up front that can pave the way for his runners while bringing a certain leadership to the team that can help the Panthers compete for the region title. Stansberry steps into the lead role this year at quarterback and will have a bevy of talented players around him to shine. I think he will be more than good this year, Stansberry will be a consistent player week in and week out that should boost his college stock in a big way.

5A-Region 4 Team MVP's

East Hamilton: (Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='1110999' first='Ben' last='Spangler']

McMinn Co.: (RB/DB) [player_tooltip player_id='1279842' first='Jacob' last='Sharp']

Ooltewah: (LB/RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1560815' first='Asa' last='McMillon']

Rhea Co.: (QB) Caleb Carr

The Howard School: ‘26 (WR/S) Ke'Shawn Suttles

Walker Valley: (WR/S) [player_tooltip player_id='1125380' first='Hudson' last='Makuch']

- The Hurricanes are looking for playmakers this year to become go-to guys and I think Spangler sits at the top of that list. He should be a key performer on both sides of the ball this year, which I think puts him in position to be their team MVP. Starting back in the off-season at our #PRZTN Showcase, Sharp has been building a good stock for himself, where I think he will take that momentum into the Fall season and have an MVP type of year. It was a close call with the Owls but McMillon I feel will be an important piece this year where he should take snaps at running back as well as be a leader at mike linebacker.

A sleeper contender for region MVP is Carr. This senior signal caller gained a year of strong experience under his belt last year and he brings his 6 '4 frame back this Fall to possibly put together a monster season. There are a lot of unknowns with Howard this season, so several players could jump forward to become the team MVP but for now, we went with a rising junior in Suttles. The top team in this region this Fall should be Walker Valley and they are spearheaded by Makuch, a talented two way prospect that brings good speed and ball hawk tendencies to the playing field.
