Lincoln's offense looked sluggish through the first half but came to life with 22 points in the 3rd quarter. Arbor View's CBs struggled to find answers to the dynamic connection between [player_tooltip player_id='406658' first='Akili' last='Smith Jr.'] and his new favorite target- [player_tooltip player_id='406718' first='Ty' last='Olsen']. This duo will be one of the most productive in San Diego, if not all of Southern California, and will continue to give secondaries headaches throughout the season. Olsen showed the full range of his WR skillset creating separation at every level with natural speed, mixing gears, and punchy in-breaks. He has a strong frame that he can use to out-physical DBs in tight coverage and showed his strong, sure hands over the middle of the field. Olsen- who totaled 300 yards and 4 TDs on 12 catches- could be in the mix for increased P-4 interest with more dominant performances like Saturday's, he currently holds one P-4 offer from Cal but could definitely see him adding more by season's end. A young playmaker that stood out was 2027 WR Courtney Thompson, who totaled 46 yards on 5 catches in the game. He served as a reliable underneath target in his first varsity action and should continue to grow into his role in the passing game over the season. Thompson- who picked up his first pair of offers from Arizona and UNLV this offseason- is one of San Diego's top 2027 prospects to watch the rest of the way.

Defensively, S [player_tooltip player_id='723770' first='Abdulahi' last='Sharif'] was the standout performer with his two second-half INTs that swung the momentum of the game. He lacks ideal length (5'8"/170) but impressed me with his reaction-time, ball skills, and short-area quickness. He played active with his eyes in coverage, was sharp and efficient with his angles-of-attack, and broke on the ball with downhill urgency. Sharif's recruitment has been quiet to this point but could start to pick up soon as he continues to produce turnovers and put his playmaking ability on tape. Another defender I watched closely was 2027 standout DE [player_tooltip player_id='632310' first='Prince' last='Tavizon']. Tavizon looks the part of a future D-I starter with his strong, physical build (6'3"/245) and the athleticism he showed on the edge. He made a couple impressive plays as a contain defender, flashing his lateral range/speed and ability to close on the ball. He was more disruptive getting to the passer in the second half against a strong, experienced Arbor View OL unit and should have no issue racking up sacks against lesser competition this season. Tavizon further proved his rising stock and is on track to develop into a national recruit at the DE position over the coming seasons.
