The 2025 Prep Redzone Kansas rankings were updated earlier this week and feature 550 athletes.

As explained in an early report the Prep Redzone Kansas scouts will divide our scouting duties this season by position. I will be keying in on linebackers, defensive linemen, and offensive linemen.

I wrote my first reports on offensive linemen and linebackers the past two days, so here is my debut report in the new series “Deck's D-Line Dawgs” and it starts with the top six ranked defensive linemen in the Kansas Class of 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='519316' first='Jayden' last='Woods'], DL, 6'3”, 270, Mill Valley

The Mill Valley product is ranked No. 4 overall in the class of 2025 and is the top-ranked defensive lineman. He has verbally committed to Penn State University. He is an elite edge rusher who wreaks havoc on quarterbacks. During his junior season, he racked up 71 total tackles. He finished with seven quarterback sacks and 10 tackles for lost yardage. Woods is hoping to lead Mill Valley to its sixth straight state championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='352457' first='Julian' last='Marks'], DL, 6'7”, 275, Olathe South

Marks is ranked No. 7 overall and has verbally committed to play for Kansas University after high school. He will be playing for Olathe South this season after transferring from St. Thomas Aquinas. He plans to graduate at semester and enroll at KU in the spring. He has played both offensive and defensive line, but it has been reported that the Jayhawks plan to look to play him on the defensive side.

[player_tooltip player_id='442716' first='Charlie' last='Woleben'], DL, 6'5”, 215, De Soto

Woleben is ranked No. 8 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas and has verbally committed to Iowa State. His quickness is what makes him a difference-maker. He finished his junior season with 43 total tackles. The De Soto prospect lived in the opposition's backfield last season. He had two quarterback sacks, 7.5 TFLs, and two blocked punts. He could be a key special teams contributor for the Cyclones right away after high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='733507' first='Hyrum' last='Vaeono'], DL, 6'3”, 285, Free State

Free State's Vaeono is the third-ranked defensive lineman in the Kansas Class of 2025. The run-stopping lineman is ranked No. 26 overall. He has offers to play college football at Illinois State and Southern Illinois. He collected 42 total tackles as a junior. He is a plus defender against the run, but can also be impactful as a pass-rusher. He had two quarterback sacks and seven TFLs for Free State last fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='570191' first='Lincoln' last='Stueve'], DL, 6'4”, 220, Blue Valley

Stueve is ranked No. 29 overall in the class of 2025. He collected 91 total tackles last season for the Tigers. He finished with an eye-popping total of 21 TFLs and sacked the quarterback seven times. He has multiple offers from Division I and Division II schools but has yet to commit. I have a funny feeling that he ends up at an MIAA school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1213993' first='Harper' last='Engel'], OL, 6'4”, 250, Shawnee Mission Northwest

The Northwest Missouri Bearcats have a verbal commitment from the fifth-ranked defensive lineman in Kansas. Engel is ranked No. 31 overall and moved up 31 slots after committing to the Division II powerhouse. Engel has posted back-to-back seasons of 40-plus tackles.
