From my point of view, Central Michigan has the largest fanbase of any football team in Michigan that isn't MSU or UofM. As of late, Central Michigan has been a middle-of-the-pack team in the MAC. In order to earn another MAC Championship, the in-state commits will need to develop and show out. As of today (August 5, 2025) I have five Michigan seniors listed as Central Michigan Commits. I expect many more very soon, but for now, here are my thoughts on the five in-state Central Michigan commits!

[player_tooltip player_id='1298663' first='Lawrence' last='Wells'] committed to Central Michigan on June 13. Last season, he had his breakthrough season with Ann Arbor Huron. This season, Lawrence will be the new starter for Brighton as they search for a KLAA West title.

In terms of skillset, Lawrence is a pure dual threat. Last season, he showcased his abilities outside of the pocket very often. Now, some High School dual-threats switch to being more pro-style in college, but with Lawrence, I'm confident he has the athleticism to be a college dual-threat. In terms of passing, Lawrence has demonstrated very high-level passing in 7on7 scenarios. At the MHSAA Camp in Brighton, Lawrence impressed me with his ability to throw with impeccable timing, accuracy, and touch. As long as he can show that same accuracy on Friday Nights, then I'll be very confident in his trajectory in College.

I absolutely love how Kadale fits with Central Michigan. Right now at Lumen Christi, Kadale is mainly utilized as a running back. There, he demonstrates some of the best contact balance I've ever seen in a 180lb athlete. He's also quite slippery in traffic and is a weapon in open space. This offseason, I was able to watch Kadale at a camp. There, he showcased a wider array of abilities as a receiver and defensive back. In short, he blew me away with his route-running and contested catch ability. It's been obvious to me that Kadale is a special athlete that can perform at a high level at just about any skill position. At Central Michigan, I am highly excited to see what position(s) he settles into.

For about a year now, I've considered Braylen a highly underrated prospect. Frankly, I expect him to thrive at CMU. Although he's 6'1", he plays much bigger than his size. I especially like how physical of a blocker Braylen is. On his highlight tape, you'll see several instances of absolutely dominant blocking- which is extremely rare for any WR prospect. I also love his route-running ability and his vision once he hits the open field. He seems to have a knack for getting open and finding holes in the defense. Now, I would like to see improvements in speed and a better ability in deep routes and contested catching. At Central Michigan, Braylen projects as a great possession receiver who can also put a guy in the dirt during run plays.

Similar to Kadale, Max is someone who thrives in multiple positions. As a receiver, Max has an excellent release and has the physicality to beat press coverage and snag contested balls. He's also a huge threat in the open field. Look at the highlight at 0:54- Max receives an extremely shallow crossing route and outruns the entire defense for a touchdown. At Central Michigan, Max could easily be a dominant deep threat with great physical abilities as well.

Max also plays DB. His tape is a bit shorter in that area, but he has a few instances of good off-man coverage in addition to spectacular run defense. Most of Goodrich's opponents are extremely run-heavy, so it makes sense that Max is extremely strong in defending the run.

At Central Michigan, Max will likely sit for a year or two before breaking out as either a receiver or DB. I'm excited to see what Max can do at the next level!

Talon committed to Central Michigan on July 31. I'll be honest—I was very surprised. For a while, Grand Valley State was heavily pursuing Talon. I fully expected Talon to commit to GVSU, but he ends up betting on himself as he's now a future Chippewa.

Talon will either play guard or tackle at the next level. At Central Michigan, I expect him to be more of a Guard prospect. Over this summer, Talon has repped at Tackle, and he's shown significant improvement. His kickstep has gotten very smooth, and he's developed a very consistent punch. Talon can occasionally get caught guessing, and good defensive ends make him pay for it. All in all, Talon is more of a raw prospect, but a very coachable prospect. I expect it to be a while before Talon earns playing time, but if he does, be confident he'll be good!
