2027 Watchlist to Ranked

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Looking at the 2027 prospects that moved up from the Watchlist to the Rankings in the recent PRZ update.</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Attacking defender that plays downhill and fast. At 6'3” 205 lbs. he's listed as an edge/OLB and plays that hybrid position well with his ability to rush the passer off the edge or read and react playing off the LOS. He's a good athlete that can move and redirect to the ball with a high motor. Fights off contact well and does a good job maintaining separation with his hands to not allow blockers into his body. Relentless in pursuit of the ball carrier. Strong start to his recruitment this spring collecting four D1 offers. He's a good athlete that can move his feet. Tons of raw potential and strength to build on as he develops. Heavy initial striker with good hand placement and leverage while showing leg drive through contact. Flashes good awareness to recognize blitzes and stunts after the snap. Proves that he can absorb an oncoming rush and hold his ground in pass protection. Can execute different blocks and be accurate to engage a defender in space. First offered by Arizona in April.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Compact frame packed with power at 6'1” 295 lbs. He's a violent finisher at the contact point that drives opponents off the ball and to the ground aggressively. Plays with a low center of gravity and a strong base. A plus athlete at his size that can work laterally to get out in front as a puller and push to second level defenders. Takes great angles with speed to his blocks to throw defenders off balance at initial contact. Physical by nature he plays with an edge and a high motor on every snap. He's quick and agile with good twitch in the short area. Possesses a hard initial burst and can sustain his second gear/top end speed as the play progresses. As a DB, he anticipates and shows good instincts in coverage. He's quick in the hips to transition out of his back pedal and into his break. Recognizes routes early to run with receivers and stay in phase to all areas of the field.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Up and coming OC prospect at one of the top programs in the country. Selected as the OL MVP at the PRZ Showcase in the spring. At 6'2” 290 lbs. he's got brute strength in both his hands and lower body. He wins matchups up with quick feet and good positional leverage. Hard initial punch to the breastplate, he gets good extension early and can reposition quickly to sustain. Plays with a good base and is tough to move. One to watch as he develops and gains experience. Attended a variety of camps/showcases this offseason and performed well.</p>
