At 6'6” 280 lbs. he's got natural bend with the lateral agility and foot speed to match defenders movement. He's quick on his feet to get to the spot creating positional leverage and stays balanced/under control at the POA. Possesses active hands with good placement, snaps his hands into position and delivers heavy initial contact. Adjusts well to defenders movement to recover and replace his hands when knocked down. Love his ability to sustain his blocks throughout the play. Latches on and sticks to defenders to finish. Still has growth potential in his frame and great upside as he develops. At 6'2” 190 lbs. he's got a long lean frame with the growth potential to add weight without sacrificing his speed or athleticism. He's an advanced route runner that does a great job setting up and selling his routes at the top. He's patient and waits for the DB to transition before he makes his cut. In addition to his route running ability, he's a strider that possesses the speed to stretch the field and run past coverage. Strong at the catch point, he extends to catch the ball with his hands and away from his body. A threat to gain yards after the catch using his speed or strength, he can use his strength to run through secondary defenders or use his speed to breakaway once in space. Finished the 2023 season with over 800 yards on 43 receptions with seven touchdowns. His track speed translates well to the football field making him a great vertical threat but also has the initial quickness and change of direction to create separation at the short and intermediate levels. A savvy route runner at 6'1” 170 lbs. he attacks DB's leverage with good use of stems and a hard drive phase off the ball. Possesses high level ball skills, leaping ability allows him to out compete defenders at the high point and flashes excellent body control to adjust to ball flight. Makes a ton of difficult catches diving and extending outside his framework to snatch the ball out of the air. Speed and strength make him a threat to gain big yardage or score after the catch. Led Red Mountain in receiving as a junior with almost 800 yards on 43 catches with 10 TD's. Runs well for his size with the ability to push vertically over the middle or gain big yardage after the catch. Strength and leverage at the contact point also make him challenging for defenders to once he gets going downhill. Possesses excellent body control and coordination as receiver. He's a natural hands catcher and length gives him a wide catch radius. Can box out defenders at the catch point to secure tough contested receptions in traffic. He's an explosive athlete that can take over a game. Downfield speed and short area agility make him a mismatch for most HS level secondary defenders. Does a good job mixing up speeds as a route runner to force DB's off balance and slip by coverage. Flashes a good ability to drop his hip level going into his cuts and then accelerating out to create separation. Reacts quickly to the ball and tracks it well into his hands. Finished the 2023 season over 1,000 yards receiving on 73 catches with 16 touchdowns.
