Trevor Thompson had possibly the best performance of any prospect at the Corky Kell Classic. Against South Paulding, he finished with 14 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, 2 sacks, and an INT. Thompson is a super stout 5'11 200 and is capable of running straight through blocks and pushing people around. However, he also played with a high motor and good pursuit skills, which is what allowed him to make tackles all over the field. Thompson should be generating some small school attention. He is physical, stout, and has the motor needed to compensate for his speed and make tackles all over the field.

Cranshaw is a dangerous speed threat for Dunwoody and he had his number called early and often. He is a scat-back at 155. He isn't super physically demanding and won't drive the pile much, but he is very fast and twitchy, making him extremely difficult to get hands on. His number was called on a reverse, where he flashed his speed in space by scampering to the endzone for a touchdown. With his speed, Cranshaw can take the available yards and more. He is a perfect compliment to a bigger back.

Danny Boden was the top receiver for Dunwoody and he generated a little bit of buzz after his performance against South Paulding. Boden is a thinner speed threat. You can toss the ball out to him on a screen, and he can make defenders miss and create some yards. He is plenty agile as a route runner, possessing enough side-stepping in his game to cut across the face of defenders and create separation. He had the catch of the night, catching a ball with one-hand across his body while looking over the head of a defender. Boden won't scare you off the bus, but he has plenty of speed and flashed smooth hands as well.

From a physical standpoint, Stafford was hard to miss. He is a rocked-up 5'11 200 and flew to the football with a mission. He is a violent striker, not looking afraid to come downhill and blow up ball carriers. He is a hybrid, playing a mix of LB and S. He did stick on the hip of a receiver down the field, but most of the buzz around him should be as an LB prospect. He is super physical, strong, and plays with the violent mentality needed to run around the field and strile.

Jermaine Tyler was easily among the more athletic prospects in this game. He holds a few D1 offers, and it's clear to see why. He is a 6'1, lightweight smooth mover with plenty of room to add weight. He isn't much of a thumper from his safety spot, but he patiently comes downhill and never looks out of position. On an early PBU, he did a good job of attacking the catch point and knocking the ball to the turf. He turned around and played some receiver as well, where he flashed more of his athletic arsenal on his lone reception, adjusting to the ball mid-air and side-stepping across a defender to make him miss. Tyler was a playmaker all over the field and has plenty of development left in the tank.

It was a breakout performance for Jerry Beard against West Forsyth. Beard is considered one of the best 2027 prospects in the state, and he backed it up against a higher-classification team. He is exceptionally explosive, instantly breaking through upfront and finding green grass. He runs with a low center of gravity, shrugging off tacklers and pushing through arm tackles. He was hardly touched in the backfield and if given an opening, he has the burst to take advantage. Beard reeled in a few receptions as well, a part of his game that seems to go under the radar. At this rate, Beard should have an extremely productive sophomore season and further solidify himself as a blue-chipper.

What a debut it was for [player_tooltip player_id='438058' first='Ben' last='Musser']. As I predicted, PACS went early and often to his legs. Musser scampered for 192 yards on the night and showcased some legit speed and explosiveness in the open field. He not only takes the yards available, but he isn't afraid to bounce outside or drop his shoulder to create a few extra yards at the end of each run. He wasn't as productive as a passer, but he flashed some solid mechanics and made a few solid layer throws. As you can imagine, when the play breaks down, Musser excels at keeping things alive and making something out of nothing. His legs will keep him on the field. As his arm continues to come around, some P4 schools will start to take notice.

It has been fun to track the development of [player_tooltip player_id='212303' first='Mason' last='Townsend']. He has always played with brilliant technique and competed against bigger defenders. Now, he has added weight and is in the 270s, so he can leverage his technique with even more play strength. His game against West Forsyth was one of the more physical games I've seen him play. He took action against a solid defensive front, frequently steering defenders out of running lanes and driving them to the turf. Continued growth and experience could allow [player_tooltip player_id='212303' first='Mason' last='Townsend'] to fully crack the P4 threshold before his senior year starts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1080840' first='Foster' last='Orris'] was a 1000-yard rusher last fall for the Wolverines, and he looks to be their top playmaker yet again. It wasn't the most prolific performance, but Orris did pick up some difficult yards and was able to punch it into the endzone twice. He is an athletic back with solid muscle mass, flashing every down potential. What went unnoticed was his work in pass protection. He frequently had to stay home and help protect the QB, where he looked more than willing and was able to absorb free runners into the backfield. Orris is athletic and has the grit needed to create tough yards and stay on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='514070' first='Hunter' last='Green'] continues to be one of my favorite prospects in the 2025 class, and his performance against PACS was one of his best. Green is extremely strong and has the muscle mass in a traditional FB that teams search for. He is a great blocker as a result, but his receiving ability takes his game to another level. He has soft, strong hands and is dangerous once he gets going downhill. He moves 230 fast, and with his frame, he often requires multiple defenders to bring him down. Green reeled in 5 receptions for 80 yards and a TD, while also playing some defense and doing fine work as a blocker. He has D1 offers, but I still think there's an FBS home out there for him.
