A 2025 linebacker at USF that impressed me with his great feel for the game, was [player_tooltip player_id='1279706' first='Jon' last='Hatchitt'] of Adel-DeSoto-Minburn. Jon might not be the biggest linebacker out there, but his hand position and strength he show off in his reps struck a chord in my eyes. If you want a linebacker at the next-level that has great running feet and rythm on rep after rep Jon would be a great fit for you along with his superb strength his tackling. His downhill presence and smash-mouth physicality is surely a fun watch on tape as Jon is certainly a linebacker you go outside the measurables for.

As you can tell already, the state of Iowa was a hotbed for linebackers at the USF prospect camp and that certainly includes [player_tooltip player_id='1286469' first='Bodie' last='Hansen']. I was a big fan of his footwork he showed off during 1v1s and showed off all the physical presence you want to see in your linebacker room wearing his frame well at 6'0 210 pounds. Bodie crushes it in my eyes on tape as he hits the gap very instinctively, with great timing, and quickly seen burst that gets to his top speed quick. Bodie also has a big motor you are going to want on your college roster and to me is way under the radar this summer and should have more than just one offer from my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='454669' first='Tommy' last='Hoffman'], QB, Sioux Falls Washington, SD 2025 Twitter

It has been a great summer for Sioux Falls Washington 2025 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='454669' first='Tommy' last='Hoffman'] as it projected just how I thought it would in early Spring, as Tommy continued his summer stock rise at USF, and ended up earning an offer from the Coo in the end. His release I swear gets slightly better every time I have watched him in Spring and Summer and that remained true at the USF camp. The speed, growing instinct, that his release has also trended well mechanically from my eyes. The NSIC has been big on Tommy and rightfully so due to this kid's substancial growth he has shown even since the 2023 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279786' first='Riley' last='Graber'], DB/LB, Prairie City-Monroe, IA 2025 Twitter

Did Iowa run deep at USF in the linebacker department? Sure did, as Prairie City-Monroe's [player_tooltip player_id='1279786' first='Riley' last='Graber'] is another linebacker that caught my attention in Sioux Falls. Riley flashed pre-snap with his great athletic bend for his 6'3 195 pound frame. Riley is one that you could tell from his reps that this kid loves hammering down the small details that resonate with his position. Riley also popped out with his footwork showing great speed and balance with his reps. The tape shows that Riley has a excellent football IQ as he shows off how positionally sound he is with his pre-snap reads and plays with the huge sideline to sideline presence. He certainly looks like a great strong safety at the next-level. Huge small town sleeper in the state of Iowa that in my eyes that more schools in the NSIC.

[player_tooltip player_id='252315' first='Tiernan' last='Vokes'], ATH, Grundy Center, IA 2025 Twitter

Another young man from the state of Iowa that showed off great attention to detail at the USF prospect camp with his reps. For Tiernan, it was with his reads pre-snap which set the tone to his route running which is very fun to watch in person and on tape. Tiernan has the dexterity to make high traffic catches look like clock-work and has a sound catch radius in his 6'3 200 pound frame and is also contributing to his route-running, he is extremely fluid on every route. Tiernan has had a great summer on the his camp trail and I would not be surprised to watch his recruiting trail grow even more in the next month or two.

Hunter Cox, DB, Sioux Falls O'Gorman, SD 2026 Twitter

One of my favorite South Dakota 2026 prospects on the day was Sioux Falls O'Gorman defensive back Hunter Cox. Came in at around 6'0 170 pounds, but his wingspan peaked high at 6'3 and I could how well this young man was using his wingspan during the reps I watched at USF. Hunter impressed me during 1v1s with his sticky pass coverage that I felt relished the skillsets he has at his disposal well. The balanced footwork, ball-tracking, and coachability were all showing for Hunter at USF. The most impressive testing number I saw too out of Hunter was his 4.22 pro agility which matched to what I saw on the field. Hunter is certainly a DB that is getting added to my 2026 board in Sioux Falls ASAP as he has a next-level future in my eyes.

Gannon Knebel, LB, Wagner, SD 2026 Twitter

A 2026 name that I heard name dropped to me from college coaches that was impressive was Wagner linebacker Gannon Knebel. Seeing it for myself as well, Gannon impressed me at the USF camp with how instinctive his athleticism looked to be. The 6'0 195 pounder trended well with his vision at camp and I liked how tight Gannon was with his change of direction during Indy Drills. He also shows off great range for his age that tracks down from sideline to sideline. He certainly is another new name out of South Dakota 2026s that needs be added to our rankings as he left a great mark in Sioux Falls.
