PRZPA Team Preview, Wyomissing

<p><strong>Last Season Update: </strong>Wyomissing continues to be one of the best programs in District 3 and the State of Pennsylvania. Last year they won 12 games and lost in the PIAA State Playoffs to Northwestern Lehigh. Wyomissing won another Lancaster-Lebanon League Title and District 3 title last year. Wyomissing lost a ton of talented players off last year's team but also returned a strong core of players.</p>   <p><strong>Current Head Coach: </strong>Bob Wolfrum (Entering 38th year) </p>   <p><strong>Key returning players for the 2024 season</strong>:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1091300' first='Derek' last='Macrina'] is a do-everything type of football player for Wyomissing. He played as both a strong safety and a wing-back in Wyomissing's Wing-T offense. At strong safety, he does a good job in run support. He comes upfield and makes a ton of tackles in the open field. He is a good tackler. Macrina also did a good job in coverage. As a wing-back, he ran well on the different sweeps and counters that Wyomissing ran. He is a physical and tough runner but also has good speed. Macrina should continue to be a good player for Wyomissing this upcoming season.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/DerekMacrina/status/1806494199706996869 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='915504' first='Max' last='Tipton'] is a big physical lineman who makes an impact on both sides of the ball for Wyomissing. At the offensive line, he has a great stance and starts. He fires off the ball and just dominates defensive linemen. He moves his feet well and drives them off the ball. At the defensive line, he is hard to move off his spot. He does an excellent job of standing his ground and not letting the offense gain the advantage. Tipton is a good player on both sides of the ball.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/mtipton51/status/1746903815150788670 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='915501' first='Jordan' last='Gwyn'] is a good defensive tackle for Wyomissing. He does a good job of firing off the ball and penetrating the offensive backfield. He is hard to double team at the point of attack, because of his size and strength. Gyyn also has a motor that never stops. He several times chases plays all over the field. Gwyn is a good defensive tackle prospect. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='647404' first='Chase' last='Eisenhower'] is a legit prospect in the 2026 class. He has the skills to play at the next level as either a linebacker or as a running back. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:</p>   <p>"<strong>[player_tooltip player_id='647404' first='Chase' last='Eisenhower']</strong> plays fullback in Wyomissing's wing-t offense. Eisenhower is a big and physical running back that is difficult to tackle. He might not be the most elusive running back, but he has good speed. If he gets into the open field he has the speed to take it to the end zone. He also played linebacker last year. He does a great job of reading and reacting to the play and coming upfield to make a play. He also runs sideline-to-sideline to make plays. Eisenhower is a talented prospect on both sides of the ball" </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ChaseEisenhower/status/1731386089871483380 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='599305' first='Caleb' last='Beane'] is another talented lineman for Wyomissing. Beane is a good athlete who moves well. He does a nice job when he is blocking in front of running backs on screens and other types of plays like that. He does an outstanding job chasing plays all over the field to block downfield. He moves his feet well in pass protection as well. Beane is a good offensive lineman in the 2025 class. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700"></p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='453138' first='Justice' last='Hardy'] is a baller as a football player. He is equally as good running the ball as he is as a defender. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:</p>   <p>"<strong>[player_tooltip player_id='453138' first='Justice' last='Hardy']</strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/justice-hardy/"></a> is the next great Wyomissing Division 1 player. Hardy can do it all on the football field. He has a great combination of speed and athleticism. He played as a slot receiver and as a defensive back. At defensive back, he shows elite coverage skills then when he picks off the ball he can return it for a big play. Hardy also shows great skills as a slot receiver. He has legit speed and he can run by defenders trying to tackle him. Hardy has elite traits as a football player". </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JusticeHardy12/status/1733571034580681177 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Keaton Piacine currently has no film, from last year, but he is expected to play a role on the offensive and defensive line for Wyomissing. He is good size standing 6'3 inches tall and moves well after watching his lacrosse film. He should find a role on either line of scrimmage for Wyomissing this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1430899' first='Tyler' last='Niedrowski'] played as an outside linebacker for Wyomissing last year. He does an excellent job of reading his keys and then reacting to the play. He is good at coming upfield and making tackles in the open field. He also showed an ability to drop in his zone and then take away throwing lanes. When the ball was then thrown in his direction he showed excellent coverage skills. Niedrowski is a good outside linebacker who should be able to play offense as well next season. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Another player with no Hudl film, but he is projected to help out the Wyomissing team either as a tight end or as a linebacker. Bresnahan has great size and shows an ability to move. He should be a contributor for Wyomissing this season. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1733686' first='Keegan' last='Maher'] showed last year he has a lot of potential as a kicker. He was consistent on extra points on field goals as well. In the playoff game against Northwestern Lehigh, he drilled a 39-yard field goal. They expect to compete for League and District Titles. Wyomissing has been one of the most consistent programs in the State of Pennsylvania for a long time. They lost a ton of talented players last year but should be able to reload and have a successful season.
