Film Review: 2026/2027 Prospects 2 Ranked and 4 Unranked

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1180727' first='Quasir' last='Sampson'] is a legit running back for Wissahickon High School. He can score anytime he touches the ball. He has good speed and runs past defenders when he gets into the open field. Sampson also does a good job of making defenders miss. He has excellent moves to put on defenders in the open field. He is also a physical runner who is hard to bring down. He shows good strength at the point of attack when offensive linemen try to move him off the ball. He is hard to move off his spot and can create a pile to stop rushing offensives from succeeding. He also uses his hands well to engage with offensive linemen. He has elite skills as a running back. On one play in particular I saw him get a toss sweep, run to the one side of the ball and the play was stopped. He turns and sprints to the other side. Out runs the defense and scores a touchdown. That is the type of player Gowans is. He has the speed and elusiveness to run by defenders. When he gets into the open field he shows off legit track speed. Gowans is also a physical running back who is hard to bring down. Gowans has all the tools of an elite running back. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">DeZarie Carson is a good athlete for Erie Cathedral Prep. His film is from Junior Varsity, but he flashed some legit skills. He played as both a running back and as an outside linebacker. As a run back he is a home run hitter every time he touches the ball. He has legit speed and when he gets into the open field he just races past the defense. He is also a physical runner who is hard to bring down. On defense, he is a good athlete who does a good job reading and reacting to the play and attacking downhill. Carson is a good prospect in the 2027 class, and I cannot wait to watch to see how he does this upcoming season. </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/AmahjGowans/status/1806725397440029020 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Aaron Sinko played as a linebacker and as a punter for Nativity last year. His film is limited and it is from Junior Varsity. As a linebacker, he does a solid job of reading the play and coming upfield to make a tackle. He needs to get more aggressive, but that will come with time. He is a good tackler as well, and again he could get more aggressive. As a punter, he did a solid job. He just needs to work on his consistency. Sinko has the potential and should be a bigger contributor this season. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Damian Mager has limited film but flashed some good skills as a running back. He hits the hole well and shows a burst through the hole. He can make defenders miss in space and has good speed. He also showed that he can catch the ball out of the backfield. Mager should be a bigger contributor this season. </p>
