The 2025 rankings have grown by 50 since our Spring Update as 200 of the best prospects in West Virginia are now represented on our site. Here are the new prospects who made their debut in the 2025 summer rankings update inside of the Top 200.

The best of 2025 East Hardy QB [player_tooltip player_id='907610' first='Brayden' last='Gregory'] has yet to come but has the potential to have as big of a breakout season as anyone in the state. His role at the high school level has been limited during his first three years, but Gregory should finally be the Cougars' QB1 in 2024 for his senior year. He showed out at our combine event back in May and has performed well at camps this off-season as a whole giving him some momentum heading into his final year. Gregory is a stout 6'0 205 with a physical build which translates to arm strength which he flashed in limited opportunities last season and at our camp. He's also a solid athlete and topped out at a 4.85 40 at the combine in wet conditions with the potential to be a dual threat at the small school level this season.

Gregory is largely an unknown to most heading into the 2024 season due to playing time, but he has all of the tools to make his name known and be a big stock riser in our rankings with more game film available this season.

Another PRZ WV Combine participant who now debuts in the rankings after getting to see him in person is South Charleston OL/LS [player_tooltip player_id='1126425' first='Jotunn' last='Amburgey']. He'll enter the rankings as the #1 long snapper in the 2025 class but has real potential to play offensive line in college with the way he's growing. Amburgey is a big athlete in the 6'2 255 range with experience playing along the defensive line as well as snapping the ball on offense at center. As a long snapper, Amburgey has good ball placement on his snaps with quality snap time. From watching his junior film, he's typically snapping in the 10-yard range which he can extend out to 15 at the next level.

We'd like to see more film of him covering punts after the snap this season to better gauge his ability to perform that aspect of the position too.

2025 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1126347' first='Lincoln' last='McConihay'] will be making the move to Herbert Hoover this season from South Charleston and flashed a lot of potential last season for the Black Eagles. McConihay totaled 31 catches for 377 yards and 3 touchdowns as a junior during a difficult season for the program and has the talent to improve on those numbers for the Huskies. He's an athletic slot receiver with quality speed and quickness with after-the-catch ability that he should be able to display more this season. McConihay performed well in the screen game last season and has the ability to turn a short pass into a medium to big gain. He also did a nice job working wheel routes after lulling the defense in with screens and can beat defenders over the top.

We'll likely get a better gauge of his ceiling as a prospect this season, but McConihay has shown enough to this point to warrant a Top 200 ranking.

An under-the-radar offensive line prospect that we've liked for a while is Spring Mills' [player_tooltip player_id='908161' first='Peyton' last='Neff']. Size keeps him lower in the rankings, but Neff's play on the field makes up for it. He's a physical player who plays with an edge and a nasty streak that you love to see for the position. Neff has violent hands and great hand use and is very physical at the point of attack. He has a strong lower and upper body and uses his lack of length to his advantage with low leverage. Neff also has quality footwork and can block down to the second level or pull when needed.

He'll debut inside of the Top 200 and as one of the 35 best offensive linemen in the 2025 class.

2025 Hedgesville ATH [player_tooltip player_id='865704' first='Dalton' last='Harper'] was pressed into duty again last season at quarterback after another injury to the Eagles' starter as was the case his sophomore year too. While Harper does have some arm talent, we see him as an ATH prospect who will play mostly running back and on defense this season assuming the starter stays healthy. His best position at the next level may be as a linebacker which we'll hopefully get more film of this season. Harper is a physically built athlete at 6'0 205 with quality speed to pair with it. He'll be a downhill physical running back this season who can run tough between the tackles with the potential to break away when he gets in space.

We'll get a better idea of his ATH ability this season to better gauge how he translates to college positionally.

One of the more productive defensive players in the state the past two seasons has been Tug Valley LB/DE [player_tooltip player_id='948783' first='Ashton' last='Davis'] who also stars on the basketball court for the Panthers. Davis totaled 44 tackles, 23 TFLs, and 14 sacks at the small school level as a junior primarily as a stand-up edge rusher. At 6'2 190, Davis likely translates best as an OLB at the next level if he chooses to play football where he has a high ceiling at the position. His length and athleticism made him a tough block for small-school offensive linemen but seeing him produce at an elite level against the greatest competition is exactly what you want to see. Davis is still very raw even with his eye-popping stats, but that's even more exciting once he further develops at the college level and fine-tunes his technique if he plays football in college.

Davis should again put up some big numbers as a senior in the new Class A and is a small school prospect to know this season.

2025 St. Albans DB [player_tooltip player_id='1112149' first='Sean' last='McCord'] is ready to have a breakout senior season in the new era of Red Dragons football in 2024. McCord had a quality junior campaign even with missing a few games and has the potential to switch positions in our rankings depending on where he plays this season and the film available. For now, he'll make his debut in the 2025 rankings as a Top 25 defensive back and inside of the Top 200 as we look to learn more about his game during his senior year. McCord is a well-built 5'11 195 with quality athleticism that we were able to see in person earlier this year at a camp. Don't be surprised to see him emerge as one of their top-receiving threats this season with running back potential as well.

The best of McCord has yet to be shown, but he could get closer to his ceiling and potential as a prospect this season.
