The surprise of the event at least for the quarterback group was 2025 East Hardy QB Brayden Gregory Brayden Gregory 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB East Hardy | 2025 State WV . Gregory was a late addition to the event having signed up as a walk up as our 156th registrant and earned himself QB Top Performer honors in doing so. He’s had to wait his turn at the high school level for the Cougars but should finally get his opportunity to be their QB1 for his senior season in 2024. Gregory has been making a name for himself this off-season at camps and the hard work and patience is beginning to pay off for him.

He certainly caught our attention at the Combine and have always liked what we saw from the small glimpses we got from him in the past. Gregory can beat you with his arm or his legs from his prior experience as an ATH, but his arm is what got him noticed yesterday and what earned him a Top 5 QB spot.

Another quarterback option this season for the East Hardy Cougars will be 2025 ATH Brayden Gregory Brayden Gregory 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB East Hardy | 2025 State WV . He’ll be the lightning to Dellinger’s thunder and the speedy option at the position. Gregory saw limited varsity time as a sophomore but should see a much larger role as a junior in 2023. If he doesn’t win the QB job he’ll also be one of the Cougars’ top receiving targets and will likely see time on defense as well. The 6’1 170 rising junior is very athletic and although his film is limited you can tell he has pretty good arm strength and is a good runner too. It will be interesting to see how that QB battle plays out and how they’ll use Gregory in the next two years.
