The 6'3 190-pound prospect has been a highly recruited player for a while now with offers from a number of Division 1 programs including Temple, James Madison, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Liberty, Boston College, Charlotte, and East Carolina. Last season Jackson totaled 2,170 passing yards, 27 touchdown passes, and 7 rushing touchdowns. Taking a look at Jackson, you love how well he can move and slide in the pocket with his footwork and still find receivers downfield. He has excellent arm strength to all areas of the field from the pocket, and his ball placement has gotten better with each season of experience so far. With some good targets to throw to this season, I think he can be even better statistically.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228977' first='Chance' last='Cato'] - Olympic

A lot of people outside of the city may not be aware of him, but Chance is an under-the-radar prospect who has shown some very good growth. Last season was his first as a full-time starter, and I think he did a very good job on a team that suffered a lot of injuries throughout the year. On the year last season, Chance threw for 2207 yards and 14 touchdown passes. Looking at the film, Chance shows excellent ball placement on throws outside of the numbers repeatedly against man coverage. On throws inside the numbers, Chance shows good anticipation with his throws and places the ball with good touch in a position where his receivers can catch and run with ease. At 6'3 and 185 pounds, I am excited to see Chance's progress this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='402307' first='Zyon' last='Hailey'] - North Mecklenburg - At 6'1 and 160 pounds, Zyon is a true dual-threat quarterback who is entering his 2nd year as the full-time starter for the Vikings. Last season, Zyon did a good job in leading a young Vikings team to a playoff berth and hopes to take them even deeper in the playoffs this upcoming season. Overall, last season Zyon threw for over 1300 yards and had 7 touchdown passes, but one thing Zyon told me is that the plan is this upcoming season for him to be much more of a runner. This makes sense because Zyon is a very good track runner - even starring as an AAU junior olympian in several events including the 200 meter, 400 meter, and a couple of hurdle events. It will be fun to watch Zyon this upcoming season on the field, for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='896157' first='Zaid' last='Lott'] - Providence Day - Probably the most heralded from a recruiting perspective, Zaid is stepping into some big shoes, replacing Jadyn Davis who is now at the University of Michigan. At 6'4 and 200 pounds, I have received a lot of strong endorsements of this young man's ability from several area coaches. Colleges have also responded, with Zaid receiving offers from Charlotte, Boston College, Florida State, NC State, North Carolina, Gardner-Webb, and Campbell. Looking at Zaid's film, you can quickly see he has a strong arm and he delivers the ball with ease in his throwing motion. He even shows the ability to make throws while being hit - delivering the ball on time, outside of the numbers. That's impressive as a backup quarterback. I can see why a lot of people are excited about him for sure.

Kianthony Smith - West Charlotte - I am including Kianthony (KD) here, but I have been told this upcoming season he will be used a lot more in multiple positions across the field, but he will still play quarterback at times for the Lions. Either way, KD is a dynamic threat and deserves recognition. Last year as a quarterback for the Lions, he helped lead them to the 3rd round of the state playoffs, losing in a tough overtime loss on the road. As a quarterback, KD is known as an incredible dual-threat player, often times making something out of nothing and throwing downfield for big plays in the passing game. KD is an even bigger threat as a runner though and has some dynamic ability with the football in his hands. That ability has garnered him a lot of recruiting attention with offers from Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, Virginia Tech, Troy, East Carolina, Temple, Wake Forest, Miami, Ole Miss, West Virginia, and Charlotte. KD can also play defense, so seeing where his future on the next level ends up will be fun to watch.
