I'm not going to lie, this is my favorite time of the year—watching prospects realize their potential and begin to pick up offers. All the work put in from the time the season ends until the first prospect camp is a testament to what was accomplished during that period. This post will cover more recruiting news and highlight who has been impressive during the summer camp months. There are several recruits to keep an eye on, such as [player_tooltip player_id='861404' first='George' last='Hill'], [player_tooltip player_id='388167' first='Carlos' last='Diggs'], [player_tooltip player_id='855477' first='Zykir' last='Moore'], [player_tooltip player_id='598912' first='Clancy' last='Orie'], [player_tooltip player_id='916710' first='Elijah' last='Faulkner'], [player_tooltip player_id='147879' first='Jack' last='Yatchenko'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1226553' first='D'Angelo' last='Stewart']. So let's get to it and start the conversation about these prospects.

Hill is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker who moves well laterally and delivers punishing hits in the open field. He's skilled at using his hands to defeat would-be blockers in run pursuit. A smart player, he reads his keys quickly and reacts accordingly. His versatility at linebacker can be attributed to his playing experience in Georgia before transferring to Woodland Hills in Pittsburgh. Stout at 6'2 and 225 lbs, he is well-suited to be a run stuffer in the box. Temple was the first program to offer the Woody High product back in January. More recently, George has earned offers from Buffalo, Towson, Arkansas State, New Hampshire, Albany, and Lincoln. Several D1 programs, such as UCONN, Eastern Michigan, Akron, Bowling Green, Delaware, UMass, RMU, and Howard, have also extended offers to Hill. He has an official visit to UCONN planned for June 19th.

Jack has the size and mobility D1 programs want at 6'3 and 295 lbs, and it's starting to show. He received an offer from Richmond today after his visit to the campus in Virginia. Navy, RMU, and Lehigh have all recently extended opportunities to Yatchenko as well. He's capable of playing OG or center at the collegiate level and has a nasty disposition on the field. D1 programs are likely impressed by his punch and relentlessness until the whistle blows. Jack has also fielded offers from Marshall, UPenn, Harvard, Villanova, Army, Dartmouth, Columbia, Stony Brook, and Bryant.

Diggs put together a solid performance at RMU's mega camp. He's a solid DB with a wide range of skills. Carlos plays with a low center of gravity, allowing him to break quickly in coverage. His competitiveness, route recognition, and technical skills help him stand out. Diggs will be competing again on June 10th at WVU's prospect camp. Carlos also holds an offer from Marshall.

Elijah is a tough, gritty, explosive back with vision suited for the D1 level. He's a compact back who is elusive and always fights for extra yards, consistently falling forward. He received his first offer back in February from Eastern Michigan and continues to get opportunities. The 5'10, 180 lbs back has recently been extended scholarship opportunities by Youngstown State, Howard, Furman, and Fordham. Faulkner also has offers from Central Michigan, Navy, Cornell, and Villanova. He finished last season with 194 carries for 1,425 yards and 25 TDs, averaging 7.4 yards per carry.

When I first wrote about Ziggy, he was an unoffered recruit whom I believed could play FBS ball. I'm glad to say he's since been granted numerous D1 opportunities for football. Zykir is an athletically built, versatile player at 6'2, 205 lbs. He's a punishing back with speed who can make plays catching the ball out of the backfield. He's also an aggressive, multi-positional defensive player with reps on film at DE, OLB, and MLB. Ziggy is an explosive hitter with a collegiate-level motor in run pursuit. Over the last month, UConn, Miami (OH), Albany, and New Hampshire have all extended offers to Zykir. UMass and Akron have also pulled the trigger on Moore.

Clancy is another prospect who has been on a roll in the recruiting scene. He's notched offers from Air Force, Richmond, New Hampshire, and RMU in recent weeks. He already has a D1 frame at 6'3 and 250 lbs, coupled with the nastiness to go with it. He's a technically sound 5-technique who plays with speed and agility pursuing the ball. It's not surprising that D1 programs are clamoring over his strength, size, and motor. Other programs that have extended offers to Orie include Buffalo, Akron, Bowling Green, Miami (OH), Toledo, Delaware, Harvard, Columbia, Duquesne, UPenn, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Cornell, Lehigh, Colgate, Navy, and Bryant. I'll be eagerly waiting to see which school Clancy ends up committing to.

D'Angelo is a player to watch throughout the summer months. He recently received his first offer from Central State and has performed well at camps so far. Stewart was clocked at a 10.9-second 100-meter dash split this spring and ran a 4.5 at Cal U's prospect camp. He also competed hard at Duquesne and RMU this month. D'Angelo's size at 6'2, 190 lbs, combined with his football intelligence and speed, make him versatile on defense. He's also likely to be a special teams contributor at the collegiate level. He's slated to compete at Temple, Youngstown State, Morgan State, and Saint Francis camps this month. Keep a watchful eye on Stewart as he continues to put in work.
