Peach-State Prospects Make Big College Commitment

The Irwin County standout had an impressive offers list after an outstanding high school career that should end with him running wild on defenses as a senior this fall. A strong down-hill runner who breaks tackles consistently and can put the offense on his back, Marshall runs with good pad level and does a nice job of bringing a physical presence while being able to carry defenders a couple of extra yards when being tackled to the ground. A powerful back, Marshall also brings excellent speed and easy D1 talent and athleticism. Still, Rivera flashed D1-caliber talent all season long, showing a high motor and the ability to make a strong, secure tackle on the ball-carrier. At just under 6-foot-2 and 215-pounds, Rivera brings good size to the table and made his commitment to the Kansas Jayhawks this weekend over offers from several other D1 programs. As a junior this fall, Rivera made 36 tackles and two TFLs playing alongside some of the top defenders in the country. Look for Rivera to make a much larger impact for the Wolves as a senior in 2024 with a new Prep Redzone ranking coming this summer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='411217' first='JaQuentin' last='Madison']</strong> <strong>- Alpharetta</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top defensive line prospects north of Atlanta, this Alpharetta (GA) defender is a powerful, versatile lineman who can line up either on the edge or on the interior. At 6-foot-3 275-pounds, Madison brings a promising frame, impressive quickness off the snap, and the ability to wreack havoc in the backfield. He closes running lanes and can blow up any particular play in the backfield. As good as he already is, his best football is still years down the line, and he's bound for a massive senior season this fall. He held an impressive offer list, but this promising defender decided to end his recruitment and make his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks.
