An RB who planted himself on my radar and quickly sent me to his Hudl account was 2025 Blake Bangtson. He did it by posting impressive numbers such as 5'9" 175 lbs, 34" vertical, 9' broad jump, and a 4.62 40 yard dash. Numbers that show an athletic ball carrier, so I couldn't wait to see the type of playmaker he was last fall.

Blake is a one cut, north-south runner. Not something you usually say about a back that relies on athleticism over power, but that is how the incoming senior plays. He finds blocks, sticks his foot in the ground and attacks upfield. The acceleration to top speed is solid and that is what allows him to play like he does. The athletic mismatch is also a viable receiving threat out of the backfield. We see him attack the up the seam or run simple flares out of the backfield where he can get to space quickly, get the ball, and get up field. To supplement his game, Blake does have solid lateral agility to make cuts that forces missed tackles and will run through arm tackles. Blake isn't a bell cow option for the next level, but he does have the talent to carve out a roll at the D3 level and potentially D2 depending on how he looks this fall.

Boden caught my attention just by looking the part of a next level LB while working with the rest of the position group. Boden checked in at 6'2" 216 lbs, hit a 31.6" vertical, 8'4" broad jump, and a 4.4 pro agility time. What also excited me after looking through his Twitter before diving into the film was seeing that he started 6 games as a sophomore on a loaded defense. Athleticism, size, and experience are major pluses when it comes to Boden. Let's see what the tape tells us.

What stands out early on in the tape is how effective the underclassman was at setting the edge against the run. It is not easy to take on OTs/TEs, hold your ground, then disengage and make tackles while not letting the ball outside your containment. Boden shows he can do it multiple times. He understands leverage and uses his hands effectively to separate from OL and then can quickly get past them to make the tackle. Boden plays with a strong burst off the line of scrimmage and flashes some bend when rushing the passer. He easily has the range to chase down backs or the QB in the backfield. Boden is looking like a big time potential breakout defender this fall.

Charlie is a 2027 that will be well worth keeping your eyes on based on the testing results from the Minnesconsin camp. The incoming sophomore measured in at 5'10" 155 lbs, ran a blazing 4.59 40, vertical jumped 35.9", and broad jumped 9'5". These type of numbers would get seniors a ton of attention, so I'm excited to see what is ahead for the River Falls WR.

I will be interested to see if the sophomore earns a role on varsity this fall, because his freshman tape is unfair. He simply is significantly faster than the entire field, easily pulling away in the open field. Charlie also has the quick twitch to make defenders miss in tight spaces and then accelerate to top speed. He is a natural playmaker that can handle higher competition early in his career. I'm excited to see what he does as a sophomore.

An incoming senior DB that was not on my radar coming into the Mega Camp, but firmly put himself there was Kayden Fenton out of Green Bay East. The '25 measured in with an intriguing 6'2" 180 lbs frame with length that is in high demand out on the perimeter. He ran a 4.84 40, vertical jumped 33.4", and broad jumped 9'2". Kayden is also coming off a 2nd Team All Conference season at DB.

On tape, Kayden looks like even more of a steal. He is a smooth athlete that transitions out of his backpedal with ease. Kayden shows good awareness in zone coverage and flashes the closing speed needed to break up passes on throws in front of him. Fenlon is also a high motor/effort player. We see the cross field pursuit over and over and doesn't hesitate to get involved against the run game. Keep an eye on this kid this fall. He could be a serious late breakout player.

Logan is an under the radar senior OLB. He will need time in the weight room at the next level to fill out his frame, but it is a frame with athleticism and length. Traits needed coming off the edge. Logan measured in at 6'3" 180 lbs, then he jumped 32.4" and 9'2" to go along with a 4.94 40 yard dash. Wisconsin Dells has put out some talent over recent years, so I made sure to get to his film.

First takeaway from the film is Logan will not hesitate to absolutely unload on opponents when tackling (or blocking on kickoff return). Logan also shows solid range, coming off the edge from the off-ball OLB position instead of right on the line of scrimmage. When he is up on the line we see a solid get off and lateral agility paired with pass rush moves to get past OTs. Goodrich is an athlete that every D3 program in WI should take a look at.

A 2026 who grabbed my attention with his next level frame was Chippewa Falls OL [player_tooltip player_id='1610025' first='Noah' last='King']. The incoming junior measured in at an impressive 6'5" 255 lbs. Noah has a frame that still has so much potential for future size and strength. That is exciting because the tape already shows a prospect with the power needed to excel at the HS level. The big man also showed off some body control, agility, and burst with a 4.68 pro agility time.

On tape, Noah shows an impressive base of footwork. He has quick and nimble feet that allow him to put himself in position to get between the defender and the ball in the run game. We see him consistently beat DL to spots because of his lower body. The upper body strength catches your eyes too as he rag dolls opponents, tossing them around. Noah is a kid to get excited about. He has so much potential between his size, quick feet, and raw strength. Get him on your boards early.

Brett caught my eyes a couple times. First, I was impressed by his 6'4" 316 lbs frame and how there wasn't an overabundance of bad weight on his frame. What impressed me even more was how he was able to overpower opponents in the one on one battles at camp with his ability to create power right from the point of contact with his OL opponent. So we had to go to the film to see how he looks in pads.

On tape we see that power over and over. Whether it is from his heavy hands staying active or from his bull rush that can collapse the pocket on a QB. Brett also has flashes of quickness leading to disruptive penetration into the backfield. It is clear he has the strength to anchor the DL, preventing the inside run game and eating up blocks. I'm excited to see the develop of the Elmwood/ Plum City athlete over the next two years.

We end with a very exciting, and very athletic 2027 QB from Barron, WI. Troy is a 6'2" 172 lbs signal caller who showed up to the Mega Camp and left no doubts about his dual threat abilities. He posted a 32" vertical, 9'5" broad jump, 4.76 40, and a 4.5 pro agility. Troy has the potential to really mold himself into a special athlete over these next 3 years. After seeing these numbers we had to go see the freshman tape.

After watching the tape, it is very apparent that this is a 2027 that coaches are going to want on their radars early on in this process. Yes he is a dominant athlete when he decides he needs to keep it on the ground. He can make defenders miss with elusive cuts and jukes. Plus the long speed is there to get the edge and break off the big run. However, Troy is a passer first. He clearly has just as much confidence in his arm as he does his legs, so he will stand tall in the pocket and try to make it happen with his arm first. Troy has an arm that can get the ball short, intermediate, and deep from the pocket, on the move, or from awkward release angles. When he needs it, Troy can drive the ball with little air under the ball to hit those tight windows. The accuracy is impressive too. Of course it's a highlight tape, but Troy does a great job with his placement so his receiver can catch it in stride and keep running. He doesn't just get it close. He puts it where it needs to be. This is a name to know. Troy is one of the top underclassmen QBs to know for this fall.
