As we continue writing about the players we already have ranked, we come to the pass catchers. We'll add more as time progresses, but for now, these rising sophomores have caught our attention. Expect a lot of receivers on this list in the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='947852' first='Caleb' last='Kearney'], 6'4 160, Palisades

It's easy to take one look at Kearney and see why he's so highly rated. At 6-foot-4, he has the frame to box out defenders and high-point the ball. But what's impressive is his release and ability after the catch. Both of those are at a level rare for a guy so tall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1106577' first='Otavio' last='Oliveira'], 6'0 150, Providence

Oliveira excelled after the catch as a freshman, turning several would-be short gains into long receptions. He was able to get behind the defense as well, catching a number of deep balls. He really broke out as a threat late in the season, averaging 24 yards a reception in October on 19 catches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217496' first='Jonathan' last='Dillon'], 6'2 175, Southern Durham

Dillon is a long-strider who runs faster and plays bigger than his frame would suggest. His long arms and legs allow him to have a huge catch radius, though he's got time to grow. His outside release is excellent and it's likely he'll add a few more releases to his package as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='901515' first='Talik' last='McCollum'], 5'7 155, Byrd

You wouldn't expect a guy McCollum's size to be so good at the catch point, but that might be the best part of his game. He has elite leaping ability and high points the ball well. Byrd struggled last season, but McCollum had several big plays, averaging over 20 yards a catch on 22 receptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='718315' first='Hudson' last='Nolden'], 6'2 205, Palisades

Nolden is a big flex receiver who will likely grow into an H-back or traditional in-line tight end. For now, he excels as a possession receiver with sure hands. Nolden is an able blocker and I'm interested to see how he develops as he gets bigger and stronger.
