There will be a lot of new faces suiting up for Brooke in 2024 under first-year head coach Casey Goff as the Bruins graduated a very large and talented senior class. The young Bruins will likely take their lumps against a challenging schedule but were rewarded by the WVSSAC with a move down in classification to the new Class AAA. The Bruins still bring back several key contributors from last season that you need to know heading into the 2024 season with plenty of new players bound to emerge as the season goes on.

Brooke will have one of the state's best specialists in 2025 K [player_tooltip player_id='1126262' first='Chase' last='Hile'] with the range to hit beyond 50 yards. [player_tooltip player_id='871001' first='Triston' last='Stevens'] returns as one of the defensive leaders at DB and should receive more touches on offense as a senior. 2025 LBs [player_tooltip player_id='1126833' first='Garrett' last='Moore'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1126830' first='Darion' last='Hilton'] return as two seasoned veterans in the linebacking corps to provide some much-needed experience. 2026 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='894626' first='Ty' last='Sperringer'] will likely replace his older brother at QB as the full-time starter this season after getting some crucial experience last season down the stretch with playmaking ability with his legs. 2026 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1227634' first='Ethan' last='Fisher'] should have a breakout junior season as he's waited his turn with quality athletic traits. The Bruins will have another specialist worth knowing in 2026 K [player_tooltip player_id='894629' first='Rocco' last='Sacripanti'] who should continue his PAT duties and will take over for Hile in 2025 after he graduates.

One of the top 2025 specialists in the state will be suiting up again for the Brooke Bruins in 2024 with kicker [player_tooltip player_id='1126262' first='Chase' last='Hile']. Hile placed inside of our 2025 Top 150 rankings during the spring update and is considered a Top 10 specialist in the class by us. He was a welcomed addition to the Bruins' roster last season during his first year in the program and flashed a ton of potential and upside as a kicker prospect. Hile converted on 3/5 field goal attempts as a junior with a long of 39 with the leg that would make you feel comfortable with him attempting beyond 40+ yards or more in a game setting. He has a big leg with the strength to hit from over 50 yards in practice so don't be surprised if his coaches allow him to attempt one from near the logo this fall.

Hile has a soccer background which has greatly benefitted his kicking development and put him on the fast track to being a scholarship-level college prospect. He picked up his first offer from D3 Waynesburg earlier this month, but we see him kicking at the D2 level.

We're looking for 2025 DB Trsiton Stevens to step up big for the Bruins in 2024 for his senior season as one of the team leaders who returns with plenty of playing experience. Stevens will hold one of the corner spots where he's shown quality ability the past two seasons, but we see him playing safety at the next level. We also expect his role on offense to increase where he has the ability to see snaps at running back and receiver as the Bruins will need some players to step up in those spots this season. Stevens should still be a quality special teams player as well who can cover kicks and punts with the playmaking ability as a returner as well. Quality length and speed will aid him in any position he plays especially at cornerback where he can match up well with opposing receivers and create some issues for them when he puts himself in a good position.

With a limited amount of junior season film available, we're anxious to see how much Stevens has progressed since catching our attention as a sophomore this upcoming season.

Brooke will have a pair of 2025 linebacker prospects worth knowing this season with the first being [player_tooltip player_id='1126833' first='Garrett' last='Moore']. Although the Bruins lost a big chunk of their production from a season ago, Moore will provide some veteran experience to the linebacking corps. Moore has the versatility to line up as a middle or outside linebacker with quality size for a small college LB prospect. He pursues the ball well with quality pursuit speed and ability to make plays in the open field. Moore is a high-effort player which is apparent on film by playing until the whistle and tracking ball carriers down who aren't to his play side. He did flash the ability and athleticism to be able to drop into coverage at times on slot receivers and tight ends as well.

We'd like to see more pass-rush ability and plays behind the line of scrimmage during his senior season for a better gauge of his capabilities, but Moore will be a name D3 programs should be keeping tabs on.

The second Brooke 2025 linebacker you need to know for the Bruins this season is [player_tooltip player_id='1126830' first='Darion' last='Hilton']. Hilton actually played primarily at safety and even some corner last season but we project him as a linebacker at the next level who can be a bit of a S/LB hybrid depending on how big he gets in a college weight program. He played the ball well in his junior film with the physicality to break up passes from a hit or in one-on-one coverage in the air. Hilton showed quality athleticism in pass coverage whose physicality also benefitted him when coming downhill to play the run with his 5'11 190 size. He can play centerfielder as a roaming free safety but is at his strongest when he can show off his physicality in the box and in the run game while matching up against bigger receivers and tight ends. Hilton has man coverage ability as well from his reps at corner and playing man on slot receivers and did a nice job sticking to his man and flipping his hips midplay.

Hilton is an underrated and under-the-radar player with some strong junior film that should have D3 colleges watching him closely during his senior season.

2026 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='894626' first='Ty' last='Sperringer'] is a young prospect that we're excited to see in a bigger role in 2024 as the Bruins' likely QB1 this season. He should take over the reins for his older brother who has now graduated and where he got some experience last season after the older Sperringer's injury. The younger Sperringer put some great things on film in 2023 when his number was called upon and finished the season strong down the stretch which should make Bruins fans excited to see him in a full-time role as a junior in 2024. We got to see him in a camp setting at the Bethany College Prospect Camp where we got a better read of his passing capabilities. That's still a work in progress and an area where Sperringer will only continue to get better over the next two years, especially with a new head coach with college coaching experience. His legs are what makes him dangerous and force defenses to account for an extra run threat on offense.

Although the Bruins face a daunting 2024 schedule, look for Sperringer to make his name known with some big stat lines as their likely best offensive weapon this season.

2026 Brooke WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1227634' first='Ethan' last='Fisher'] is ready to have his breakout season at the varsity level after waiting his turn behind some quality athletes who have now graduated. The 5'11 160 rising junior was a participant at our PRZ WV Combine back in May and proved he has the athletic traits to develop into a quality skill player for the Bruins in time. Fisher should see time at receiver and defensive back this season as the young Bruins will need some previous underclassmen to step into starting roles in 2024. He even has some versatility as a wildcat-type quarterback who can run read-option with the threat to throw in certain packages.

A second Brooke Bruin specialist that you need to know over the next two years is 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='894629' first='Rocco' last='Sacripanti']. Brooke used Sacripanti as their PAT specialist during his sophomore season and has shown early signs of being able to take over for Hile during his senior year in 2025 at a high level as he waits his turn. Although we didn't get a good gauge of his range from only being their PAT kicker, Sacripanti showed fluid mechanics in his technique on extra points that leads you to believe he'll be solid on field goals and kickoffs as he continues to get bigger and increases his leg strength. From matching some of his practice film on his X account, Sacripanti does have the ability to hit from 40 and in on field goals, and we expect that range to increase and be more consistent as he gets older and stronger.

Sacripanti has a solid foundation to build on with his early fundamentals and could develop himself into another top specialist prospect in his class out of Brooke.
