2026 ATH Ty Sperringer Ty Sperringer 5'10" | 155 lbs | ATH Brooke | 2026 State WV is a young prospect that we’re excited to see in a bigger role in 2024 as the Bruins’ likely QB1 this season. He should take over the reins for his older brother who has now graduated and where he got some experience last season after the older Sperringer’s injury. The younger Sperringer put some great things on film in 2023 when his number was called upon and finished the season strong down the stretch which should make Bruins fans excited to see him in a full-time role as a junior in 2024. We got to see him in a camp setting at the Bethany College Prospect Camp where we got a better read of his passing capabilities. That’s still a work in progress and an area where Sperringer will only continue to get better over the next two years, especially with a new head coach with college coaching experience. His legs are what makes him dangerous and force defenses to account for an extra run threat on offense.
Although the Bruins face a daunting 2024 schedule, look for Sperringer to make his name known with some big stat lines as their likely best offensive weapon this season.

We like 2026 Brooke prospect Ty Sperringer Ty Sperringer 5'10" | 155 lbs | ATH Brooke | 2026 State WV as an ATH, but he worked out as a QB at today’s camp and did some good things at that spot. He’s the type of athlete who can play any skill position on both sides of the ball as well but will likely be the Bruins’ QB1 this fall after taking over for his big brother. As expected, Sperringer had one of the best 40 times of the day with a 4.84 which he could improve on with more practice reps. He had a strong pro shuttle time of 4.55 seconds as well as a 2+ yard broad jump which are both solid numbers for a rising junior. I thought Sperringer did a great job of taking in the coaching he was getting and applying it to future reps which saw immediate improvement in his performance. He did a nice job shaking off some missed throws and got better the further the camp went on from the tips and coaching he was receiving.
Sperringer is raw as a passer right now but should continue to make strides in that area of his game over the off-season since he can now solely focus on that position on offense after seeing time at WR/RB the past two years.

Brooke will need to replace just about everyone in 2024 after fielding a very senior-laden team in 2023 and that gives 2026 ATH Ty Sperringer Ty Sperringer 5'10" | 155 lbs | ATH Brooke | 2026 State WV a great opportunity to build on the success he had as a sophomore. He may end up replacing his older brother Braelyn at quarterback for the Bruins which the younger Sperringer did last season when he was out with an injury, but we project him as a WR or DB at the next level with his 5’10 155 size. He was still able to throw for 500 yards and 7 touchdowns when filling in for his brother and rushed for over 200 yards and a pair of scores on the ground. Sperringer had his breakout performance of the season against rival John Marshall where he completed 11/12 passes for 172 yards and five scores while also rushing for 166 yards and another touchdown. He’s a very quick and speedy athlete who will give the Bruins an option-style quarterback if they elect to keep him there under a new head coach in 2024. Sperringer will rank as the #9 ATH in the 2026 class with a lot of athletic versatility and a Top 125 player in the class.
