Recruiting has been buzzing in West Virginia this year with nearly 20 2025 prospects having already received offers from college programs at the D1 level. We believe there are still plenty more deserving athletes in the Mountain State worthy of D1 looks who have yet to be offered. Here are some unoffered 2025 prospects who need a closer look from colleges heading into their senior seasons.

He's ranked as our #1 kicker in the class for a reason and arguably the most versatile specialist in the state. Stire has been on countless college visits during his high school career so he's certainly on their radars and being heavily monitored. We expect him to eventually end up at one of the D1 levels by the time Signing Day comes around as a scholarship prospect or PWO depending on how colleges value their specialist recruits. Stire is rated as a 4.5 star by the prestigious Chris Sailer Kicking which they label a future u0022FCS Freshman Year Starter, Scholarship Pick or FBS PWOu0022 and aligns with our thinking of him from what we've seen so far during his career.rnrnIf Stire takes the next step in his development over the off-season heading into his senior year, he can bolster his prospect status even further for colleges and continue to prove why he's our top specialist in the 2025 class. Look for him to be in the running for the Fulton Walker Award as the state's top specialist in 2024 too.rnrnu0026nbsp;","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["487111"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Huntington's [player_tooltip player_id='487111' first='Avonte' last='Crawford'] is an incredibly versatile and gifted athlete who needs more attention from the D1 level. He did a great job transitioning to quarterback for the Highlanders last season as a junior to fill the large void left by Gavin Lochow in 2023. Crawford is equally, if not even more talented of a DB prospect which he showed in 2022 as a sophomore and could end up playing that position in college depending on how colleges view him as a prospect. He performed at a high enough level at quarterback last season to earn him a spot in the prestigious Elite 11 regionals as he continues to improve and develop at that position. Crawford posted 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns as a passer last season while only appearing in the first half of many of the games due to the score.rnrnHe should make a big jump in his quarterback development next season as a senior with a very big and important off-season already on the way for his development and college prospect status.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["450992"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Length is the only thing keeping 2025 Bridgeport DL [player_tooltip player_id='450992' first='Wes' last='Brown Jr'] from already having multiple D1 offers because the talent and ability are plentiful in his game. From watching his film and seeing him in person at several camps, we've seen firsthand how explosive and dominant he can be in any setting he performs in. We believe length can be overlooked more for an interior defensive lineman and oftentimes works to their advantage in leverage and pad level situations which are strengths to Brown Jr's game. He's been well-developed not only in the weight room as one of the state's strongest athletes, but also in his flexibility and explosiveness. Brown Jr moves very well for his size and could be considered a twitchy athlete at 5'10 295 with great short-area quickness and an explosive first step. He's also not just a bull rush interior DL and has developed high-level pass-rush moves from the interior with a dangerous dip and rip. Brown Jr attacks with ferocity and tenacity with a business-like approach and strives to be the best version of himself that he can be.rnrnWe see him as an FCS-caliber prospect due to length who has received interest from programs at that level but has G5-level talent in all other areas of his game.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["908108"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"One of the more underrated and slept-on prospects in the state for the 2025 class is Buckhannon-Upshur's [player_tooltip player_id='908108' first='Carter' last='Zuliani']. Zuliani has the versatility and size to be considered either a TE or DL prospect and has been ranked at both by PRZ WV in the past. His 6'6 230 size automatically makes him an intriguing and attention-catching prospect for the next level, but Zuliani can also move for his size. He's not only versatile on the football field but has earned accolades in multiple other sports this school year including Honorable Mention All-State in basketball, First Team All-Big 10 as a swimmer, and a regional champion as a thrower on the track u0026amp; field team. Zuliani has a high ceiling as a TE or DL prospect who may be raw right now but can be molded into a very good college player in time. He's too big and athletic to drop past the D1 level in our eyes and should have FCS offers at the very least.rnrnIf Zuliani gets out to college camps this summer and shows them in person what we see in him along with a strong senior year, he should have no trouble picking up some D1 offers before Signing Day.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["908988"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Surprisingly, 2025 Martinsburg RB [player_tooltip player_id='908988' first='Nick' last='Busky'] hasn't yet received a D1 offer to this date but they are sure to come in the future in all likelihood. A 5'11 205 running back with the speed and power combination that he has should have FCS programs in the region pulling the trigger on offers before his senior season begins. We think he could even warrant G5 interest with another strong season in 2024, especially if he gets out to camps and has strong performances in front of them. Busky ran a hand-timed 4.52 40 and a laser-verified 4.6 last off-season and is even stronger and faster a year later. Busky is equally as talented on the defensive side of the ball at linebacker where he was First Team All-EPAC and All-State as a junior and could play there in college too. We see his ceiling highest at running back where we have him ranked the #2 prospect for that position in the 2025 class and could earn accolades at the next level at either spot.rnrnBusky has an FCS floor in our eyes with G5 potential, but if he falls to the D2 level, he'll have the opportunity to be one of the best running backs in the country if he ends up there.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6643b219561ee"} /-->
