In this article series, I’ll be deep diving a few players at a time, and offering some insight on each prospect in order of how they are currently ranked. Let’s get it started with our #23 through our #18.
| #23 | Max Baker Max Baker 6'5" | 215 lbs | OL Detroit Edison | 2026 State MI | 6’4 215 | DEPSA |
Is size everything? No, not necessarily, but it does mean a lot. I think Max has some work to do in that department, but skill wise I think he has some solid traits. He is mobile, which you would expect. Pulling is definitely one of his strong suits. He shows on film that he can line up at about any position up front and do good work. When he does pull, he brings a big pop with him to the 2nd level. If max is continuing to pack it on in the weight room and working on footwork and technique, he will do himself a lot of favors in the eyes of D3/NAIA teams.
| #22 | Daniel Wylie Daniel Wylie 6'2" | 260 lbs | OL Grandville | 2026 State MI | 6’2 265 | Grandville |
As my counterpart Alex said in his review of Wylie, he believes his best work comes on the defensive side of the ball. I don’t disagree, but there is still some positive traits as an offensive lineman. For starters, he is well versed in run blocking. I like the way he fires off and brings some boom with him. He’s not super technical, and I think there’s something to be said for not having a lot of experience in passing sets, but I still think he could play D3 offensive line. I think defensively he will have a much higher ceiling.
| #21 | Zander Halliwill Zander Halliwill 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Midland Dow | 2026 State MI | 6’4 265 | Midland Dow |
In Zander’s sophomore season, he really developed his mean streak. He finishes blocks, and is not afraid to great really aggressive. He’s an opportunistic blocker, as the smallest mistake and he takes advantage and buries his opponent. He does a nice job of staying low and keeping his back straight, and driving with his legs without leaning too much. In passing situations, he doesn’t set back to far, stays in an athletic position, and really anchors down and doesn’t get budged off the line of scrimmage much at all. I think he has some overall footwork and technical things to work on, but he was stellar in his sophomore year, and I think he’s in for another major jump!
| #20 | Jack Stewart Jack Stewart 6'2" | 270 lbs | OL Grand Blanc | 2026 State MI | 6’2 265 | Grand Blanc |
Jack was a huge strength along that offensive line for Grand Blanc in 2023. In 2024, he will be taking another big step, and I’m very excited to see what he can do with another offseason under his belt. He’s a road grading blocker in the run, who is very mobile and brings a ton of boom with his initial hits. I’d like to see him continue to work on pass blocking, but I like where he is so far. Hopefully another good offseason worth of work will take him to the next level, I’m looking forward to checking in on him soon!
| #19 | Connor Cox Connor Cox 6'3" | 265 lbs | OL Brighton | 2026 State MI | 6’3 265 | Brighton |
I actually get to watch Connor work tomorrow, and I’m super excited. Everything I see on film is very encouraging. After reviewing his Hudl, I think there’s absolutely a spot for him at the next level. For one, it appears he is incredibly strong. He’s always good for pushing a pile forward, and bulling over guys in the 2nd level when he pulls. He has a large frame that is still plenty athletic to move in space and lock on to his guy. In the passing game, Cox tends to take his guy up field and out of the play, which he does with a lot of success. I’d like to see him continue to work on being able to anchor down and keep his guy in front of him a little more, and have some defenses against good pass rush moves. I’m excited to see him in 1 on 1’s tomorrow to see where he is at in that development.
| #18 | Vincent Coleman Vincent Coleman 6'1" | 265 lbs | OL Mona Shores | 2026 State MI | 6’1 280 | Mona Shores |
I really like where Vincent is currently, but I really like where his trajectory is heading. I’d like to see him in person before I say I have him fully evaluated, but his Hudl shows a ton. I like his mobility and athleticism. He possesses explosive hands and is able to take control of his assignment quicky. I think the technical side needs to still be worked on, but physically he has a ton of talent, and could very well please some of the smaller colleges looking for able bodied offensive linemen. Keep an eye on his development over the coming couple of years, as he could really take a big jump up in this loaded class.
