The Prep Redzone NE/IA Combine Series was a star-studded showcase featuring some of the best talent in Nebraska and Iowa. Over 120 prospects filled the Iowa West Sports Plex as they looked to sharpen their skills, compete against other elite talent, and gain exposure to the college coaches in attendance. Marty and I identified several standout prospects who we believe have the potential to play at the next level.

The group of incoming seniors came in with something to prove as they go into their "money" offseason full of college camps and showcases. Our Combine Series showcase provides a good way for the '25s to springboard their way into the offseason as they compete with great local talent and perform in front of college coaches. Here are the incoming senior prospects who stood out at the showcase.

Isaiah has been an interesting player to watch over the years he's attended the PRZ showcases. I remember first seeing him at the Stock Up showcase after his sophomore season (it could've been freshman year), and to where he is now, the growth is evident. The biggest growth areas in his game have been his confidence and the physical growth in his frame. Nagle looked bigger and stronger this go around, and you could see him using that size to his advantage when competing. In 1v1s, Isaiah more than held his ground against some of the top pass catchers in attendance. Nagle showed his willingness to get physical with receivers, whether jamming them at the line of scrimmage or challenging for the ball at the catch point. Isaish also posted great numbers in the testing portion with a 4.75 40-yard dash, 4.66 shuttle drill, and 8'9" broad jump. Nagle should be a key player as the Cavs look to make a push for the state championship in 2024.

One series of showcase articles that we do is the "Workout Warriors," well if I had to hand out an award to the top Workout Warrior, it would definitely go to Pius X's [player_tooltip player_id='736416' first='Joseph' last='Andreasen']. Joseph was the only player at any position to sweep all four combined drills, a testament to his elite athleticism. Joseph posted times of a 4.66 40-yard dash, 4.4 shuttle drill, 7.44 L-drill, and jumped 9'3" in the broad jump. When watching Joseph run through drills, I noticed how underrated his twitch was in the open field. He can set defenders up before making a quick, shifty move that leaves defenders stunned and gives him enough space to evade the tackle. Great burst when he hits his hole and can accelerate very well past the second level. Andreasen also impressed with his blocking in pass protection, showing the physicality and technique needed to pick up and wash out blitzing LBs. Great two-way player who can play either RB or LB at the next level!

[player_tooltip player_id='319195' first='Jameson' last='Rayner'] | LB | Millard South (NE) | 6'0" 195 lbs

Here's a player who you should definitely keep a close eye on going into the heavy summer camp action. Jameson was a key player on that tough Millard South defense from last season and looks even sharper from what we saw at the Combine Series. Jameson also did a great job in his position drills, where he flashed a quick reaction and break on the ball with solid closing speed. Smart when playing gaps. He did great in testing drills, with top 5 times in the shuttle drill (4.63) and the L-drill (7.57). Jameson was also solid in his 1v1 reps, displaying the ability to stick with backs and play the ball in the air. Jameson and the rest of that South LB group are going to be tough to run against this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260227' first='Wyatt' last='Tramp'] | RB | Crofton (NE) | 6'0" 185 lbs

I always say, "don't sleep on those eight-man guys," and Crofton's [player_tooltip player_id='1260227' first='Wyatt' last='Tramp'] is no exception. Wyatt experienced a great breakout season as he spearheaded a tough Crofton team that reached the Class D1 semi-finals. Wyatt is a physical running back who can break defenses down when playing downhill and dishing out contact while also showing enough wiggle to make defenders miss in the open field. One thing that really impressed me about Wyatt at the Combine Series was his receiving abilities coming out of the backfield. He did a good job creating separation from defenders in 1v1 reps and was consistent at the catch point. Wyatt runs with good pad level and displayed good footwork while going through RB drills.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229775' first='AJ' last='Paladino'] | DL | Elkhorn North (NE) | 6'2" 225 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

The Elkhorn North Wolves look to reload along the trenches with players like senior [player_tooltip player_id='1229775' first='AJ' last='Paladino'] set to step into a bigger role. AJ was impressive in my first in-person look at him. He shows good pop when firing out of his stance and with solid explosiveness from his hips. One rep that stood out in my head was one where AJ won immediately at the snap using a fast first step followed by a quick, strong swipe to keep his reaching opponent from ever getting hands on him. He then burst into the endzone for the rep sack. This play was the perfect example of how explosive and quick AJ can be when providing pressure off the edge. Watch for AJ to make a splash this season!

[player_tooltip player_id='1272825' first='Tommy' last='Bloome'] | TE | Bettendorf (IA) | 6'5" 205 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

One of the sleeper tight ends in the Iowa 2025 class! If one were available, Bettendorf's [player_tooltip player_id='1272825' first='Tommy' last='Bloome'] would've been my pick for TE MVP. Tommy only saw a few targets his way during his junior season so this was a great way to get a better look at his pass-catching abilities. Bloome is a player who passes the eye test right away with his athletic 6'5 and 205-pound frame. He further impresses as you watch him go through drills and see how well he moves for someone his size. Bloome's lengthy reach gives him a huge catch radius that QBs can lob it up to. Tommy is strong coming off the line, showing the ability to fight off pressing DBs and can hang onto catches through contact. We know Tommy is a solid blocker already, so seeing him run routes and make receptions was huge. A player with the potential to blow up once more teams catch wind of him!

[player_tooltip player_id='1273552' first='Andre' last='Bolton Jr'] | DB | Omaha Central (NE) | 5'10" 145 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

Omaha Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1273552' first='Andre' last='Bolton Jr'] had a bit of a "breakout" performance at the Combine Series, even getting selected by coaches as the DB MVP. Andre Bolton is a tough cornerback who didn't back down to even the biggest receivers in attendance. Bolton showed some fight with how he can use his hands to disrupt receivers at the line of scrimmage and break up passes. He displays great eye discipline throughout his rep, keeping his eyes locked in on the receiver's hips and mirroring their every move. Fluid in transition with loose hips and quick feet. A hidden gem in the 2025 NE defensive back group!

[player_tooltip player_id='1240433' first='Grant' last='Koehler'] | DL | Bettendorf (IA) | 6'3" 230 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

Here's another Bett Bulldog who was making waves at the Showcase! While Tommy was making highlight catches on one side of the field, Grant was getting his hands dirty as he dominated the trenches on the other side. The first thing that stood out about Grant's play was his brute strength and ability to blow blockers off their spots. He generates a ton of power from his base, allowing him to anchor down and drive linemen 5-10 yards into the backfield. He is effective with his hand use when attempting to disengage from blocks. Good pursuit and motor that keeps him fighting through the whistle. I can't wait to see more of what Grant can do with pads on... summer stock riser!

Carter Drake-Metger | OL/DL | Wilton (IA) | 6'3" 250 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

A nagging injury forced Carter to make the tough decision to cut his Combine Series experience short to avoid aggravating it further. Even though Carter could not compete in position drills or 1v1s, he was still a player that we were really looking forward to watching based on the strength of his junior game tape. Carter is a tough, physical lineman who plays with a mean edge and a non-stop motor. He'll be tough to match up against along the trenches next season.
