Not only did he win the Combine's MVP for defensive backs on Saturday, but he also received the honor as a receiver at the previous event. Heading to Bergen Catholic in a few months, one of top teams in the state is only getting better with a pickup like Nosym. He gave receivers very little room to find success in their route running. Nosym was glued to the hip the entire time downfield and made plays on the ball as if he was the one running the route.rnrnWhat was most impressive from Nosym is that he not only shined at the Next Combine, but he then went on to compete with the high schoolers and nearly won the defensive back MVP there as well. This is a name that everybody should be discussing.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66449d991226d"} /-->

Nyko displayed silky smooth hip movement as he mirrored the receivers from beginning to end. It was impressive to see him press up at the line and go toe to toe with the WR as they made their way downfield. Nyko is naturally gift defender. He has the instinct to make split second decisions and make a play on the ball. Very few receivers ever gained more than a few inches of separation from Nyko as his feet were always moving as receivers changed speeds and directions.rnrnTo wrap it all up, Nyko showed he can watch the receivers eyes and get his head around just in time to get a hand on the ball and break up the pass. St. Peter's Prep is getting itself one of the future high profile prospects at the cornerback position.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66449d991231a"} /-->

Phoenix has everything required to be an elite defensive back. Pressed up on the line, Phoenix jammed up the receiver early in the route, deviating them from their path and disrupting the timing with the quarterback. Phoenix plays scrappy and physical, getting into the receiver's head when they come up empty handed against him.rnrnPhoenix is standing at 5'9u0022 at the moment, but his dimensions are reminiscent of a player like Sauce Gardner. Phoenix's longer arms allows him to swat the ball out of the air and rip at the receiver's hands when he is trying to reel it in. With the skill set to be an elite shutdown cornerback, Phoenix is ready to make his name know when he heads to Don Bosco in the fall.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66449d9912396"} /-->

Measuring in at 6'2u0022 and 206lbs, Tahj has hit the growth spirt earlier than the rest, making him a prominent figure at last Saturday's event. Using his size to his advantage, Tahj was a dominant presence against the receivers. Tahj showed how physical he can be at the line, but also showed that he can stay with the smaller receivers through quick breaks and stutter steps.rnrnNot only did Tahj stand out amongst the crowd with his football dimensions and size, but from what I saw, Tahj may have been the most natural and controlled runner of the combine. Clocking in at 4.84 for the 40, Tahj made his run look effortless and smooth, showing the marks of a natural born sprinter. Tahj is an all around athlete and really could thrive at multiple positions on both sides of the ball, so it will be interesting to see how St. Josephs utilizes him in the future.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66449d991240d"} /-->

Khalyd displayed an uncanny ability to react quickly on the break, going step for step with the receivers and beating them to the ball. It looks very natural the way he changes directions and explodes out of a low position. A twitchy cornerback, Khalyd showed all afternoon that he can put himself in a position to make a play on the ball against the best receivers the Combine had to offer.rnrnDon't be surprised if Khalyd gets some solid reps in on the offensive side of the ball as well. He could double as a route runner with how fluid his movement is. He is another one of the undersized defensive backs, but once he puts on the size he will be considered a top tier presence on D.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66449d99124f6"} /-->

[player_tooltip player_id='1236608' first='Jason' last='Louis'] | New Jersey | Rahway - The defensive back with the fastest 5-10-5 of the Combine, Louis showed us how quickly he can get in and out of different body positions. Jason did an excellent job staying low in his back peddle and opening his hips up to move laterally with speed. Gave up a lot of size at just 5-foot-5 and 130-pounds, but he has some skills to work with.

[player_tooltip player_id='1281408' first='Aamier' last='Regis'] | New Jersey | Plainfield - The final DB on the list to keep your eyes on, Plainfield's [player_tooltip player_id='1281408' first='Aamier' last='Regis'] is a name that will gain more recognition as the seasons progress. Aamier exudes confidence in his playmaking abilities, showing no fear against some of the top WRs at the Next Combine. Aamier isn't afraid to play up close to the line, he showed he can whip his hips around and stay with the receivers on the deeper routes. Aamier did play a little high at some points, but that's something he'll clean up as he gets to the high school level.
