We're back with the fourth day of coverage for the Ottawa-Kent Red league. Today, I'll evaluate six brand-new prospects, this time from East Kentwood, Grand Haven, Grandville, Hudsonville, and Rockford.

'25 WR | [player_tooltip player_id='1291366' first='Caiden' last='Holt'] | East Kentwood | Hudl

Last season, Caiden served as a good possession target. His biggest strength is his ability to climb the ladder and secure contested catches. Seriously, this guy's vertical is crazy. Look at the highlight at 0:44, as he leaps in the air to beat the DBs and come down with the catch. That's a borderline elite trait. Otherwise, he has quite a bit to clean up before he's a college prospect. His route running in particular needs a lot more attention to detail. He's very undisciplined and sloppy with the entire route tree, making him unpredictable and causing him to have a ton of wasted movement. That will be the #1 most important thing to clean up. His run after catch ability can also be improved. I'm extremely confident that the new coaching staff at EK will develop Caiden into a much improved receiver next season, and I'm excited to see the results come September!

Donovan is a raw prospect who has experience playing several positions. He's a moldable ball of clay at this point, and he has a few good traits that can be built on. In short, he showed good range as a safety, good speed, and decisiveness as a linebacker, and he apparently had 1000 yards rushing and 18TDs as a running back- but that's nowhere to be found on his tape. He'll be on my radar. I truly believe that if Donovan puts in the work, he could be a superstar.

'25 WR | Alex Dixon | Grand Haven | @alex_dixon8

Listed as a WR/DB/OLB, Alex shows decent athletic ability and good upside. His current highlight tape is at receiver, where he served as a solid possession target. When he was open, Alex was able to haul in quite a few passes and gain some yardage. He also tried his best running the whole route tree. Though, especially with sit routes where he'd have to make a quick break, there's a lot of wasted movement. On the top of his route, his hips don't drop low enough, and his footwork becomes a bit sloppy. I can tell that the effort is there, but the actual fundamentals aren't. I'm not trying to sound too harsh, but I know that with improvements in route running, he could find himself with several more catches and RAC opportunities. A bit more work on the fundamentals and balance will accelerate his game to new heights.

It takes a different type of player to play Guard for Grandville at 6'1" 195. What makes Brett different? Motor and physicality. I am highly impressed with some of these highlights. Like I said, Brett is an extremely physical football player. On the defensive side, he fires off the ball quickly and excels against linemen who don't match his physicality. His overall run-stopping is great, and he has a wide tackle radius. Offensively, he plays with that same physicality and does incredibly well considering his size.

Last Fall, Quinn served as a solid possession receiver. Considering his stats, I was surprised to see him run as good of routes as he did. He's not the most polished receiver in the world, but I thought he showed a good understanding of every route he ran. Once Quinn hauled in the football, he did his best to gain more yardage, but he needs to work on his explosiveness and top speed in order to earn those chunk plays. We'll see how he develops this offseason, but I would not be surprised if he was utilized much more next season.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm inexperienced in evaluating kicking prospects, though I know that Jack is a hard-working kicker looking for a college opportunity. On kickoffs, he looks like a natural college kicker. He sports a high arc and is able to position his kicks deep in enemy territory, yet not in the endzone. He's also able to directionally kick and can tackle when the returner comes his way.
