Film Room: Spring Evaluations Part 2

Fresh off my weekend in Indiana at the Prep Redzone Hoosier State Hustle 7 on 7 tournament, I'm back in the lab checking film! He's a versatile guy who is super athletic, does high jump and more, plus he's able to run super well. His routes are clean, and he is more physical going up for the ball than most defenders he is lined up with. His release is natural, he doesn't get jammed at the line, and I really liked seeing the way he stuck with the ball through traffic and was able to haul in contested catches. Westbrook is a workhorse who wants to get the details right, and I think that type of work ethic is going to carry him a long ways. Jaeger is a deep threat through and through. He runs clean routes, breaks quickly, and has great concentration to haul in tough over the shoulder catches, typically 40+ yards downfield. He is quick enough to get behind the defensive backs and uses leverage to give his QB an open target. I hope to see him this summer so I can see him work in person, but his film so far shows me a ton!","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1246337"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Though the majority of his highlights are at the JV level, you can still see the potential in Jeremiah at the RB spot. In an offense that is a ton of deception and quick bursts through the line, he matches this style perfectly, and you can tell it has been instilled in him. His first step is directly at his hole, trusts that his line will have a hole for him, and when he sees it, he exploits it with a big burst. Once he's through the line and to the 2nd level, he is bouncing off tacklers or sometimes just running through them. He runs like a much bigger back, which makes me think if he can pack on some extra weight, this could be a workhorse on every down that could absolutely punish defenses.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["318570"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"I haven't talked about Marcello a ton lately, mostly because I don't think I can add much that people don't already know. Marcello is one of the most versatile athletes we have in the state. He does a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball. Defensively he can play that hybrid LB/Nickel type, can come downhill, or defend the pass with P5 level skill. Offensively, he can be a quick and twitchy running back who can get to the 2nd level in an instant, and make guys miss from any angle, and he absolutely burns defenders trying to run him down. He's one of the most well rounded football players we have in the state, and he's only a 2026! He currently holds 24 D1 offers, and that number will only increase over the next couple of years.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66319be7411a5"} /-->
