Scout’s Notes: Quarterbacks
Point Pleasant Boro’s Michael Ollendorf Michael Ollendorf 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Point Pleasant Boro | 2025 State NJ is a prospect that I saw both at Jersey Juice and PSR. Having gotten probably a cleaner look at him during Jersey Juice, Ollendorf showed good feet in the pocket. He got to his drop quickly, set his feet, and also showed agility in pocket presence drills. My notes from Jersey Juice confer what I noticed at PSR: Ollendorf does sidearm the ball…… Mahki Brunson Mahki Brunson 5'9" | 170 lbs | QB Camden | 2025 NJ from Camden certainly has the requisite arm strength to throw the ball to any spot on the field. I did notice, however, that he has somewhat of a hitch to his throw. Luckily for Brunson, he can put enough zip behind his throws to beat most defenders’ breaks.
From St. Joseph’s Academy, Anthony Salamone Anthony Salamone 5'10" | 140 lbs | QB St. Joseph Academy | 2027 State NJ possessed many refined mechanics that resemble more closely that of a 2025 graduate, than his actual graduation year of 2027. Salamone had a tight spiral that made for an extremely catchable ball. Behind that tight spiral, his throws also had good zip on them. This combination made for throws that appeared to have full confidence and authority every time he took a rep. Lastly, Salamone had a quick release. With this holy trinity of characteristics, Salamone is a prospect to keep an eye out for this coming fall….. Pascack Valley’s Michael Colletti Michael Colletti 5'10" | 145 lbs | QB Pascack Valley | 2026 NJ is the last quarterback we will discuss today. Colletti, more so than any other prospect that day, had great lower half mechanics. Each time Colletti dropped back to pass, he showcased great weight transfer in his throws. In the process, Colletti got the most of each and every throw. He also did not sacrifice balance for torque in this situation, as he was light on his feet and able to move in any direction.
