This marks the second year in a row that I covered the event. Pennisi has grown his significantly from last year. With over 400 prospects registered for the event, I had my work cut out for me to identify and scout some of the event’s standouts. As I feverishly wrote notes, here are my scouting notes from the position group disclosed in this article’s title.
PSR BIG Camp Series Event Coverage
Scout’s Notebook: Tight Ends
The hometown hero was amongst the best at his position group. Ryan Bayoumy Ryan Bayoumy 6'3" | 220 lbs | TE Monroe Township | 2025 NJ , one of only a few participants to register and compete exclusively at tight end, shined amongst his peers. Blessed with the prototypical size for a collegiate tight end (6’3″ 220lbs), Bayoumy had the skills as a pass catcher to go along with it. Bayoumy won all the spins I recall watching him participate in. How he went about his business was using precise routes and capitalizing on his catch radius. Bayoumy showed that he could high point and grab balls that were high, behind him, and out in front of him with ease, making him a safety blanket of a target. Perhaps the most outstanding attribute Bayoumy possesses, however, is how well he makes cuts. Given how large a person he is, this may have come as a surprise – I know I was when he ran this absolutely beautiful flag route.
Scout’s Notebook: Running Backs
Bergen Catholic’s Dante Kain Dante Kain 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ showed that he is a versatile piece to their offensive cupboard already stocked with Quincy Porter Quincy Porter 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Bergen Catholic | 2025 State NJ and Najee Calhoun Najee Calhoun 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ . I can see Kain etching out a Swiss Army Knife-type role, as he showed both positive indicators as both a rusher and a receiver. Kain runs with balance and low pad level, which makes him a tough out to tackle. Additionally, Kain executed and hit it big on an outstanding double moves that left his linebacker matchup spinning like a top….. Millville’s Aiden Dawkins Aiden Dawkins 5'7" | 160 lbs | RB Millville | 2026 NJ was a prospect who played with confidence in his athletic abilities. It might be something the Thunderbolt’s coach up because Dawkins did it often, but he ran his routes directly at his defending linebacker whenever possible. In doing so he squared them up and often left them flat footed as he entered his break. This allowed him to create separation in his route for the win….. Balance was a key part of Tyler Cumming Tyler Cumming 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Mount Olive | 2025 NJ ‘s game. The Mount Olive tailback showcased good balance as he absorbed contact and managed to keep churning out extra yardage. This balance, however, was not exclusive to when the ball was arriving; it was, also evident when defenders tried to redirect his route and play physically with him through all phases of his reps.
From Piscataway, James Bodley James Bodley 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Piscataway | 2025 NJ might be the most wiggly of their stable of running backs. You would not want to try to catch Bodley in a phone booth. During cat & mouse type drills, Bodley would routinely make defenders miss in close, tight quarters to squirm out and win the drill. This also showed up during the 1-on-1 phase of the camp where he would often juke defenders who were behind him or in front of him….. If I had to take a hunch, Cole O’Connor Cole O’Connor 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB North Hunterdon | 2026 NJ from North Hunterdon likely is a multi-sport athlete. I say this based off of how I witnessed him go up for the ball. Aside from being able to, quite literally, go up and get it, every snap I saw O’Connor make involved him catching exclusively with his hands. Lastly, O’Connor had a willingness to compete and fight through contact.
