The circuit of back-to-back-to-back weekends on the road has come to a conclusion, as I was fortunate to attend Coach Nick Pennisi's PSR BIG Camp Series on Saturday, May 11. This marks the second year in a row that I covered the event. Pennisi has grown his significantly from last year. With over 400 prospects registered for the event, I had my work cut out for me to identify and scout some of the event's standouts. As I feverishly wrote notes, here are my scouting notes from the position group disclosed in this article's title.

Scout's Notebook: Delaware Prospects

The event's line prospect from Delaware that I took note of was Isaac Chukwurah from Caravel Academy. Chukwurah brought a special combination of violence and technique to his game. The first spin I saw Chukwurah take he applied an absolutely violent cross chop that left the flesh of his matchup red. Later on the very next rep he took, Chukwurah delivered an awesome snatch on the same matchup to which he finished with a swim move for the easy win.

Scout's Notebook: New York Quarterbacks

Sayville's quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='747206' first='Patrick' last='Coan'] is a prospect that I have gotten a look at a few times now live on the camp circuit. Coan throws mostly a clean, unfettered ball that his receivers seemed to enjoy catching. As the wind picked up, however, Coan needed to trigger his lower-half's torque a bit more to slice through the strong gusts. This I think affected his performance as the afternoon drew on..... From West Babylon came quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='505383' first='Elijah' last='Outlaw']. Like Coan, Outlaw was a prospect I first laid eyes upon last camp series. Outlaw's arm has progressed very nicely, as evidenced by his ability to deliver the ball with really good zip. Aside from velocity, what made it whizz by was the tight spiral and purpose on each throw. Outlaw's timing could stand to improve, but this could be attributed to the camp setting...... From Holy Trinity, quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='806359' first='Josiah' last='Patrick'] had a really strong showing as well. Patrick, too, had a very tight spiral and a compact, tight release that prevented most defenders from breaking on the ball. Patrick also showed out with his ability to put a tremendous amount of touch on the ball, placing it safely in his receivers' bread basket.

Scout's Notebook: New York Offensive Linemen

From Chaminade, 2025 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='514951' first='Lucas' last='Catoggio'] competed and showed a great deal of technique during drill work. Catoggio was excellent alternating between kick steps, powering down, and back. I would describe Catoggio's feet as light, powerful, quick, and strong..... Making the trip down from Trinity Pawling, [player_tooltip player_id='1210816' first='Jackson' last='Iak'] was a solid, thick offensive lineman that has tremendous balance. Iak's performance and movements remained square to the line of scrimmage, balanced as he stepped and moved, and had no lean or tip whatsoever. Lastly, his feet were pleasantly quick for someone of his size (330lbs)..... If you can make it at Coney Island's Lincoln High School, you can make it anywhere. The home of Stephon Marbury, [player_tooltip player_id='1284053' first='Caleb' last='Houston'] keeps his head on a swivel and his hands on guard. Houston did a great job of keeping his hands ready in attack position as he competed throughout the afternoon..... Sachem North's [player_tooltip player_id='737951' first='Angelo' last='Portillo'] also put on a memorable performance. Portillo had great pull steps. His steps were precise, confident, and powerful. As he ran through contact on his trap assignment, Portillo also ran his track and refrained from chasing defenders who rushed upfield. Lastly, Portillo is as well coached as he is coachable. You could hear his post foot drag as he retreated to his kick step.

Scout's Notebook: New York Skills

Although his address might be in New York - which explains his inclusion on this list - Austin Busso suits up for New Jersey's #1 team in Bergen Catholic. A technically sound prospect at wide receiver, Busso gets very low as he prepares to break and exit the stem of his route. A sign of a possession receiver, I noticed Busso extend his arms to receive the pass, actively going out to nab it out of mid-air, rather than wait for it to arrive..... From Monsignor Farrell High School came [player_tooltip player_id='805692' first='Gerard' last='Sheehan']. In the little bit I saw of Sheehan compete, he came across as a linebacker with eye discipline who his dedicated to playing his techniques. Sheehan was not juked out by his opponents, indicating that he keys his opponents' hips to avoid even the sharpest cuts. Additionally, he confidently plays the ball rather than the man - indicating his instincts and jump on the ball strong as he reads and reacts.
